December 2023 Update: Service was much better than the last time I was here, probably a year or two ago. The young man who served us this time was very pleasant, helpful, and quick. Food was very good. Enjoyed our experience. Appreciate all of the vegetarian and vegan options. Previous review: Very interesting place, good selection of unique food and drink, but ambiance and service and food could be better.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Excellent atmosphere and food! Our server Anita was excellent and gave us great recommendations. Will definitely be coming back. For the record, I got the Smokerschmitt Club on whole grain bread and my friend got the Red Baron Club on Pumpernickel.

This place is delicious!!! If you cannot find something on their menu then you are beyond picky! We had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious! Iced tea was awesome! They have a ton of delicious looking baked goods but we had to skip because we were not heading home otherwise there would have been a to go! Highly recommend! Staff was super friendly!

Really enjoyed my visit. First time at a European style Cafe. The atmosphere was awesome complete with a display case full of sweets and desserts. Had a great meal, my server was very helpful with menu options. Purchased some rock Candy sticks on the way out for my kids and grandkids to try. Will definitely be visiting here again!!

It was nice to find this european style street cafe in Jax. Their menu is quite rich, appropriate pricing, fast service, relaxing music, etc. Their croissant sandwich and German potato salad were both tasty. My experience overall has been positive. A note for coffee lovers, they have free refills for black coffee, my server Monarch was nice and helpful.

Wanted to give the Cafe 5 🌟 but a few things caused this 4 🌟 rating. First parking is a challenge with only 1 handicapped space and little side street parking can cause you to search for a spot. Seating is good as is atmosphere and were well served by Sherry our server who was attentive all evening. Menu is a European mix and I chose the German Sausage Sampler with German Potato salad, sauerkraut (could have been given a bit more) and pretzel bread $10.50 which could have been a 5 🌟 except for the German Potato Salad which needs to be changed so 4 🌟. Bill ordered a cup of the Beer Cheese Soup with Pretzel a sure 5 🌟 winner at $3.95. His Entree was the Ruben Special with American Potato Salad $10.25...sad to say that Potato Salad also needs changing so it too became a 4 🌟. Look for free Entree Coupon in local Mint or Money Magazines as we did. Also they do offer a 10% Veteran discount which isn't posted but a nice and thanked offering. Speaking of offerings they offer over 100+ types of beers for on site consumption and off site purchase. This is a great stop in place and we will surely be back trying other sides of Cole Slaw or additional sauerkraut as opposed to the Potato Salads.

Great place to have a quick lunch or dinner. Wait times are slim to none. Great food and beer selection. Happy hour is the best. We dine here at least 6 time per month, both lunch and dinner.

Okay, so I’m not sure if my review is THE MOST helpful ever (it’s based solely on their cookies) but I think I just ate the most transcendent cookie I’ve ever had. A family member was on their way back home from the airport and picked up a few items including a German chocolate cookie and an Oreo cookie (and one other that I have yet to try), and she offered them to me. I hadn’t tried their food before, so I wasn’t expecting anything, but I took a bite out of the German chocolate cookie and it transported me to heaven. It was so dense and packed with flavor and just absolutely delicious, as was the Oreo version. I *would* warn against eating too much of it in one sitting, as they’re both huge and will most definitely give you a sugar rush, but it’s so worth it. I’m a bit devastated because I live too far to visit Jax regularly, but the next time I’m there, I’m stopping by to try more of the menu! Amazing job to whoever created the recipe and baked these!
