I can understand why the corporate office wants to shut down the Burnside Fred Myers; you can't even Google the store information/ doesn't show up. The employees ( especially the customer service folks ) have zero customer service skills nor can they seem to preform the task they've been hired to do. The paramilitary security guards at all the enterences give off a odd energy. Store absolutely sucks
Huge store,found everything we needed and the prices were good.
Bags are the worst, they double the paper bags and they still break, prices are usually goo, lots of discounts, sometimes they lack stock for specific items
The store was neat and had a lot of the food/drinks that i wanted to purchase.
Make sure you watch your receipts this place scams you try buy creamer. It was on sale but when I got to the registered it wasn't on sale. Argue with a lady saying it was literally on sale I can see with my two eyes 👀 nope not on sale. But it really was probably going to stay away from this. Fred Meyers
If you're poor they treat you like a criminal at this store! I was accused of shoplifting by the security despite showing my receipt and was detained for 10 minutes. My ice cream melted and I had to demand to speak to management. I'll shop elsewhere from now on.
I come here often to utilize their in-house pharmacy. I've had nothing but a great experience every time I've interacted with their team. They have always been both helpful when asking questions, as well as being swift in assisting with consumer needs. Quite a large store, can't imagine not being able to find that one completely random and uncommon ingredient that I will need when I make that recipe I'll probably only ever cook once because my parents are coming over for Thanksgiving supper. They got what you need, when you need it. Except after midnight or 1 AM (they close, duh!) when they shutter the doors and kick everyone out :(
It would be simpler for everybody if they just put up a big sign asking people to not shop there. Today: asked an employee pushing a cart to the corral four times if I could use the cart they were pushing and was ignored. When the cart was placed in the rack line of returned carts I tried to pull it out, and the security wheel was locked. The cart had been put back like that by an employee. The attendant did at that point present me with a different cart.On e I had my cart, I tried to start shopping. Seltzer water- poor selection. Bread- sispursed around the store. Some near one deli counter, but not at the second deli counter (2 deli counters and limited product selection on isle items?) some distributed up an aisle in the middle of the store. Tried to buy veggie deli slices, nowhere in the produce section like most other FM stores, none with the deli meats. Tried to cart h the eye of employees on the floor to ask, but they were downright evasive. After asking where the deli slices were at deli counter #2 I encountered the only genuinely helpful person on my visit. They had only been there 2 weeks, but they tried their hardest to help and they eventually differed me to the elusive shelf stockers. They looked at me approaching them and went back to stocking shelves and their own conversation. When I was finally able to get their attention and ask after the deli slices I was looking for, bot employees began talking over each other try and answer my question before one of them walked me to an out-of-place refrigerated case in a frozen food aisle where my items were to be found. I was ready to get the heck out of there at that point, so I went to the registers. The employee cashing me out did not know how to interpret the messages their register was giving them though, so he had to get help from somebody who pointed out the register was demanding my ID for a non-restricted item. Eventually my groceries were rung up and were getting bagged. When everything was in bags except for some packs of waters and I was sure we were done with the bagging portion of cashing out.the cashier asked the bagger how many bags and they responded with “ten”, when four had been used for my regular groceries. I suppose it made sense somehow to bag up 8-packs of LeCroix? This store is literally 2 blocks from my home. I’d really like to shop there but every visit there has just been a miserable experience, and worse than every previous visit before it. It kills me that apparently in order to go to a store that isn’t just agonizing to visit, I’ll likely need to shop on the other side of the dang river. I cannot convey just how much I’ve begun to hate visiting this FM store. I’m pretty sure today was my last time there. It’s just not worth the hassle.
I dont shop here often but I've always had a good experience. The covered parking is awesome and cart escalators are kinda novel. Yup, good store.
This fred myers is absolute chaos. I couldn't find the carts for disabled people. Everything in the store is spread out. No organization
