Gomer's Midtown

Nice liquor store. Pretty big. Good prices. My 12pack of Quirk was like 16 bux. Friendly staff. Helpful. Tons of choices!
Gomer's always has what I'm looking for and they're always priced reasonably! What I like even more, they have very knowledgeable folks who are very willing to chat with you and make very informed suggestions - which I find very helpful before a party or dinner with a friend who likes a drink/liquor I'm not as familiar with. Definitely recommend and like this KC tradition.
Great location for a quick drink run. They've got a little of everything if you're just looking for something new. However if you're looking for something specific you should probably call ahead, they've never had that one brand/bottle I came looking for. Overall fair priced and a lot of variety, but not a lot of any one specific thing
I don't understand how this place can be so much better than the disaster that is Gomer's Parkville location. regardless of how terrible that place is, this place is filled with nothing but friendly staff and tons and tons of options for booze, including endless wines and craft beers which the people behind the counter actually have knowledge of. The only disadvantage this location has is that it's at the corner of 39th and Broadway, otherwise known as Wreck City. Do yourself a favor and approach from the west coming off Broadway, and leave the same way. If it helps give you an indication of how much more popular this location is than its sister store, they had to put in a second parking lot just north of the main one to be able to handle their weekend and night volume.
One of the best selections of beers across the city, State and country. The staff was the most helpful and knowledgeable! Couldn't ask for a better place to get my liquor from!
OMG! They are redecorating the place. It's gonna be fab! And tonight they had a tasting of some peanut flavored whiskey! It was so good that I bought a 5th! I love this place. I love Gomers because their prices are fair and the customers are friendly. The staff is nice and it's just a nice cosmopolitan environment.
I finally have to post something about this location: it's a disaster. They botched the paperwork on a keg we got a couple months ago and it was like pulling teeth to get them to make it right. Took THREE separate trips. Now, this morning, I went there after my other trip to the butcher shop next door and timed it to go there when it opened at 10:30 and there was no one home. It wasn't like they were about to open - all the lights were off and not a soul in the building. I watched more than half a dozen people come and go in this time. Don't go here, not at least until they get their stuff together.
I went in to ask if they had SINGLE craft drinks. The first dude i asked acted like i walked in and asked him for 50 bucks. Be prepared to do business, not to have a problem. Wont be back.
Gomer's has a good selection of alcohol. I don't like talking to people, but I understand their staff is pretty knowledgeable. Their hard-liquor tastings are always fun and informative.
They're renovating or something at the moment, but despite a number of empty cases under construction they had exactly what I was looking for (and it wasn't exactly coors light). They have decent prices on all the old regulars, and a very good selection of the 'weird stuff' (for people like me who want to try something new every time).
