It was actually way cleaner than I expected it to be. There is a method to the madness. You just have to watch what others are doing while digging. When they bring out new bins they make everyone wait until that row is complete and finally they say shop now and that part is mayhem
Ok so the 5⭐ is because the thrill of the hunt is fun and I find some really good and unique stuff there. If I could rate the customers I would give zero stars. They are rude as hell and act like animals! Expect to get pushed and shoved .Don't bother taking your kids cause you don't want them in the line of fire so to speak. If I could give the workers a rating it would be zero as well! They talk down to the customers and degrade them . Honestly they talk to them like they are children which I understand as most do act like children but they're a few like me who abide by the rules and act civilized. There is ONE guy who rolls the bins out who is the nicest and I wish I could catch his name so I can give him his recognition but I unfortunately don't know it.Young black male, tall, thin who always has a durag on is the only one worth a damn there .Also some clothing and items are dirty and smell but some are brand new and nice! I love shopping there so will continue to go,just beware of the people .
Very unorganized with everything just thrown into bins. Be careful!!! Broken glass in bins.
Definitely an adventure. There are folks there that are regulars who can be a bit pushy but other than that the place is well run.
It is a very crowded place and when looking through the bins it is extremely unsanitary. They put everything there unwashed and it is the cheapest experience imaginable. You have to be careful of what you grab because if you’re not paying attention for even a second you could be holding a pair of dirty underwear. Honestly wouldn’t recommend going here because even if you do end up finding something good for the cheap price it isn’t worth the hassle of looking through all the crowded dirty bins surrounded by resellers.
I would be interested to know if my transaction today involved illegality on the part of Goodwill. This is the first time I've been to this store. Compared to other Goodwill outlets this one ranks lowest in merchandise. It's not even fit for landfill. Consequently, I only went to the checkout with three small items. The cashier charged me for 2 pounds even though the scale showed half a pound. When I brought this to her attention she said she goes by what it says on the register. I told her that makes no sense. The supervisor stepped in and waved a piece of paper in my face on which was hand-written what the cashier is to charge for various weights, regardless of what the scale says. When I said this is not right she got quite rude and told me to shop at any other Goodwill. If Goodwill has notices on the wall declaring that they charge $1.79 a pound, then it makes no sense that they then charge me $2 for half a pound. It's not the money aspect that annoys me, rather the ethics behind behind it. Surely this kind of underhanded activity is covered by Texas law regarding weights and measures.
I really wanted to love this as a place to get glass items for my business. The idea of the hunt seemed like fun. I had seen on other Goodwill bins sites that glass and electronics were cheaper by the pound than things like clothes. That is not the case here. They charge $1.96 per pound no matter what it is. To be honest I can buy a mug with the handle for cheaper at the actual Goodwill store than the mug missing it's handle at the Outlet. I won't be back.
The employees are awesome when you get to know them, it is the customers who can be a problem, they all seem nice but grab stuff when not supposed to and will take from your basket when not looking but it's the price you pay for such amazing deals. Bring glove you will touch lots of old dirty things. The place isn't the cleanest and restrooms are in need of repair but it is what it is it's a wharehouse where a lot of people go and can be a bit of a mad house but WORTH IT I RATED FIVE STARS ON...deep savings super deals and my need to go back soon ALL THE TIME :)
Bring hand sanitizer. You have to spend a lot of time here to dig for anything. Did find some good stuff. 3 stars for how dirty it was.
Tried going yesterday and place was closed. Hours state they are open Monday thru Sunday 8-6. I got there at like 1ish and the store was shut down. There were people waiting out in the parking lot to see if someone would show up to open it. No signage stating they were closed or why. A little annoying.
