This used to be the best in Memphis but now that they have started marking up the price of anything that is decent quality it has become just like Salvation Army. It's funny, Salvation Army sends their people to this Goodwill to see why they do so much more business than them and now Goodwill is trying to be like Salvation Army and thinking they are a high-end department store. There are racks and racks of mediocre to excellent clothes that never sell because of the mark-ups. Goodwill, you are a THRIFT store! Act like it. I hear a lot of customers complaining about the pricing and I hope they stop shopping there. Low sales speak louder than words. Update Two months later and it is only getting worse. Used jeans for $25? In a thrift store? And some of the items marked up make no sense at all. Customers, know that management here is only interested in squeezing $$$ out of you to be the #1 Goodwill Store. Please do not buy the marked up items until they are reduced to decent prices.

Each visit is a treasure hunt for me. I never know what unexpected gem I'll find. The store is well organized and clean. Clothes are sorted by type (short sleeve, long sleeve, sleeveless) then by size. The knick knacks and books are fun to shop too.

Customer Service is still alive and at the store on Stage Rd. The men and women in this place could give class on how to treat customers golden year to the young adults. They make you smile on bad days. See Ms Ruby she has the greatest personality world wide. I have found the greatest bargains in this store I plan on visiting often.

They seemed to have a lot less choice in the size and style jeans my granddaughter was hoping to find. However, it's a store stocked by donations. So, you never know what you'll find. You have to frequent the place if you're looking for something in particular. Clean store and restrooms. Professional staff.

I shop here all the time i have even gotten friend and family to stop shopping at the mall. But over the past two years the prices have sky rocketed. Why? You get the stuff for free i have even given bags and bags of clothes. I know that you also have to make money but when you price it too high then it doesn't make sense to come to good will any more. To give an example, i saw a shoes behind the counter (FRY)was the brand i get that its a high end shoes but you had it priced at $53 and you got it for free??? Thats too much!!!

If I could give a zero I would, although the selection wasn't awful the customer service was. I've never seen a more rude employee anywhere as bad as the lady running the dressing rooms. I tried on 3 tops, one worked the other 2 did not. When I came out if the dressing room she was standing next to the rack where people put clothes they didn't want I went to hand her the 2 that didn't work and she said, I don't want that (in the rudest voice possible) I then said Ook do you want me to just hang them on the rack? She responded with no I want you to find where you got them from and put them back. After bursting her bubble by telling her I don't think so that wasn't my job and letting her know she was extremely rude she then told another customer the same thing and sat down in a chair and began messing with her phone. This was not a teenager but an elderly lady that I guess because of her age she thinks she's entitled to disrespect everyone else. Myself along with 2 other customers told the cashier about her attitude to which the cashier said this is sadly nowhere near the first time I've heard complaints about her but they won't fire her because she's old. They expect young people to respect customers and wouldn't tolerate this behavior from them and they shouldn't from this lady either. If she can't talk and interact with customers in a proper manner she has no business working with the public.

I have been to 4 of the goodwills in middle Tn and the prices are so much better and the stores are so clean and neat. They have a 14 day return policy with your ticket. And a gift card program. The stores in your region are so very over priced and need new management.

This place is definitely a hidden treasure in Memphis. Your charged by how much your items weigh. This is a unique way to buy things and it’s possible to find some rare items for a small amount of money. If you’ve never been then it will be a unique experience and I recommend it.
