Grand Slam Liquor & Convenience

Terrible experience at this business at approx 2 pm Tues 4/27 Tried to get gas at outside pump. the machine wouldnt alow me to pull out my card after I quickly inserted it. Complained to the clerk inside he said it was a new style pump. I go to stations all over city. Never experienced this before. I told him customers should be alerted at pump of the change. He showed no sympathy and when I asked him to ring up my gas from inside he refused. I never raised my voice or used foul languge . He was approximately 35, dark hair. I will NEVER trade at this station again and I live just 6 blocks away.

Walked the four blocks in the rain tonight for one item. Arrived at 1:28, I already knew what was wanted. Would've taken them less than the two minutes to close to check me out. They told me, with umbrella in my hand, that they are a private business and can close when they wish.then sent me packing. In the unlikelyhood you're reading a review about a convince store, take you're business elsewhere.

I walked in to get slushies with my friend and it had a bitter taste where I couldn’t drink it so I immediately threw it in the trash. Went to register with my purchase and the owner assumed I was paying with EBT. He also reprimanded me like I was his child and said don’t throw anything of his away because he’s losing money and I’m wasting his poor quality product. I will never walk in here or purchase anything again. I told him to put everything back and I walked out… I’ll pass on racist convenient stores with trash customer service.

Awesome selection of beer, including craft beer. I bought 2 bottles of Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout and the taste is glorious! This beer is hard to find, as most stores in the KC area don’t carry it. It is a seasonal beer. If you love dark beer, go get some, you will love it!!!

This place is always busy at night. Sometimes its hard to find a parking spot on the weekend nights. There is always a cop hanging around during the weekends for everyone's safety. Its nice knowing you can walk in and not worry about getting robbed. Its not in the best area but they have a good liquor selection. Alcohol is the only reason why I stop by there since sometimes when I decide to drink its past 10 and I gotta drive across the river.

This is our favorite place to go downtown to grab anything from gas, beer, wine, liquor, and snacks!! It’s conveniently located right off the highway and the staff members are all awesome! They have a their own delivery app as well.

We visit KC occasionally for concerts. We were in town recently and stopped by Grand Slam to pick up a bottle of wine to enjoy in our hotel after the show. Tony was very friendly when I asked about local restaurants and gave us a few ideas. The next morning on our drive home to South Dakota, my husband realized that he had lost a few cards from his wallet. Thinking that he may have lost them at Grand Slam, I called the store and spoke to Joe. He confirmed that he had the items. When I told him that we were already 2 hours away, he very kindly took our address and mailed the items to us! Thank you for going the extra mile to provide exellent service!

Despite the insanely high-prices of everything in this store, they will charge you more than the marked price at the register so pay attention!
