The webpage literally states that they support with Custody and Child Support issues. I called with a young father looking for legal help with paternity and custody, and was told after only receiving his name, DOB, and address that he was "rejected" because he wasn't a victim of DV. The intake coordinator was rude, and sounded miserable. It's really unfortunate as the most vulnerable people are reaching out for help and are met with attitude and rejection.
Don’t choose this organization. They signed an agreement on my behalf that explicitly stated in an email to the attorney that i was not comfortable sighing. This attorney committed malpractice and ruined my life. They pick and choose and are also just lazy. Don't expect actual law work from here. The attorney assigned has been on 7 vacations in the past three months…
Some of the management and lawyers are already very disrespectful. Then they mistreat and verbally abuse you if you get one of their crusty friends fired.
For those that said they don’t understand the bad reviews it’s because everyone isn’t treated the same and the cases are cherry picked -
I hate this place they make situations worse than they are. They pick and choose whom they want to help.(Maybe it’s my skin color) They are Completely bias,tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. They are really out here playing with peoples lives.Advising other parties to take actions that don’t even make sense completely disregarding the child that’s in between all of this. This place should be shut down like literally. People should love their jobs not purposely destroying lives because they can. It’s the way they were walking on egg shells with me regarding a serious matter barely wanting to help me.They have no problem going above and beyond for my Abuser against me. They couldn’t even answer basic questions. I’d rather be refused service opposed to someone playing with me and making me feel horrible at the end. Energy is everything. I Always feel the fake energy.
Amidst the deluge of bad reviews, I can say that I had a tremendously positive experience entirely thanks to Sandra T at GBLS. She is the only reason I had any success dealing with my issues with the unemployment office. A year and a half of fighting later, we have everything sorted thanks to her. I hope that I never have to reach out to this office again, but if I do I know who I'm asking for!
I am so upset it was approximately a month and a half since I contacted this office I explained my case they told me and assured me that they would be able to help me with my case this morning they called me telling me the same thing that I already know and to go back to the lawyer who had my case previously, mind you they cannot understand if one looks for it it is because economically you cannot pay a private one they recommend me save money how am I going to save money if I don't work don't come here you will waste your time they do not help in anything until anxiety grab listen to that call in the morning they get your hopes up and then they do not help you stop playing with people's feelings and legal help😠😠😠😠😠
How do I get to enter the 10th floor to speak with someone from the BBO in Boston as an emergency
Terrible service. I had a phone intake for possible representation or “legal advice” for a housing court legal matter and was called two weeks later but missed it. Called back the next day and left voicemail and emailed the email left on the voicemail. Never heard back so called again two weeks after and left another voicemail. A week after that I finally heard back and was given no advice other than what I already know. Was also told shelters are full which I already know, which is a problem in itself. I had to cut the call short and was told she’d call me back the following Tuesday to give me phone numbers to call and never called me. No help at all. Not a good position to leave people in who are struggling and need legal guidance.
Was in an out perfect service..I'm impressed 😁
