It's great if you don't have anywhere you need to be...ever and don't want to find anything you actually need. I keep trying this Hen House because the good one on Johnson drive closed and am frustrated every time I go here. If you're not an over privaledged Leawood house wife go literally anywhere else for quicker service and better selection.
Very well maintained store and the customer service is outstanding, but you pay more for it. Quality is a little better than some places around - especially for meats. They also sell concert tickets at the customer service dept for TicketMaster if you don't want to purchase online for some reason.
Nancy was great. I'm from oot and love your lemon Supreme pie. Didn't have a hen card for discount so she shared one for me to receive discount. Love your store.
Nancy checked me out today. She was absolutely wonderful and made my day. I couldn’t remember if I had a henhouse card and I’m usually skeptical Of making new cards, but she made it effortless to make one. She was so funny and kind. God bless Nancy! There should be more Nancys in this world!
So,,Hen House is a good grocery store. Good products,good variety,,,a little pricey but that's to be expected given the area that it serves. Most of the employees are helpful and somewhat cheerful. However the checkers yesterday were sullen and annoyed that they had to do their job. They acted like I was interupting their rest time and I was the only one checking out. It wasn't like they were busy,,,However the bag boy was a hustler. He should get a gold star.
We love this grocery store, but the last two times we came in, our cashier Abby was very rude. Very disappointing and awkward situation to be in.
Great place to stop by on my way home from working at the office all day: prices for most items are way higher than other stores in the city, and fewer items are available. However that does not mean you shouldn’t shop here. Most employees are super helpful and very friendly, polite and fit their job well, and most grocery shoppers are nice and friendly too; though sadly some employees and some grocery shoppers I have come into contact with do not know their bottom from a hole in the ground. By the way, you must wear a mask before entering the store. As required by Kansas state law. (Thanks a lot, Laura Kelly aka Kansas Governer! 👎🏻)
Would rate higher but had a bad customer service experience here. Willing to pay higher prices for customer service and quality but when you have extremely poor customer service might as well go to Walmart.
Seems to be an okay place to shop for basic groceries. Not many complaints here with the staff but the store itself is small so you can’t find most items you really want but it should have things you want to buy that are important for you, especially for cooking. The deli is cool too.
Local product and a new renovation made this place even better
