Great service, and really good prices!
I wish I would’ve read some of these reviews before shopping with Mariachi Connection! My daughter just started folklorico dancing and we ordered a doble vuelo purple skirt. I paid 48$ for express 2 day shipping just for my package to be late over 2 days late at this point! Super disappointed. It seems like not a lot of people have a good experience shopping online due to shipping costs and late package arrivals. It also seems like shopping in person here is a hit or miss. Won’t be buying from here again :(

I had high hopes for this business considering how hard it is to get mariachi clothing, specifically sombreros, in the US, but I was completely let down. It's been about two years since I made my purchase but today I opened my closet to see the good for nothing sombrero I purchased from them just sitting there collecting dust and in my anger decided it was time I wrote a review. It's very simple really, I ordered a custom made sombrero, one of the most expensive if not the most expensive option they have in the category. I waited months and months, checking in with them every once and a while. Sometimes I wouldn't get a response for days and sometimes at all. When it finally arrived, I happily waited for my wife to get home to take it out and show her, only to my horror when I placed it on my head it fell over my eyes; it was way too large. Not a little bit, but a lot. Not only that, but the supposed "brown" color that I had chosen for the trim was so dark it looks black. I got into contact with them and told them of my dilema and wondered if it would be possible to just send them the hat back and have them send me one that fit me correctly. Didn't even ask for a refund upfront. She said they couldn't do that and no refunds on custom made clothing. Now, I would completely agree with that, however, my order was not at all what I asked for, I can't even use it!! The best thing she could offer was a 20% discount and a suggestion to buy something to stick on the sweat band so that it would fit me... I did, and it still didn't fit, I even layered it and it STILL would completely consume my head, THAT'S how big it was. At the end of the day, months and months of waiting and a large sum of money invested resulted in absolutely nothing! This was an online order, so I can only speak from my experience with that, I have no idea how going in person is like, I can only hope and pray the customer service is better and more just. My advice to anyone looking to buy a sombrero, just buy it from a sombrero maker straight from Mexico. Might cost you slightly more but it's 100% worth it and 100% authentic. My suggestion would be to try Sombreros AGS (Aguascalientes) or for something slightly more economic, Sombreros Cejas. Both can be found on Facebook and are 100% authentic.
Our very first time to this store. It was almost closing time on a Saturday, and the entire staff was very helpful. We got a very beautiful mariachi shirt that my son used at a performance that same day. We were also able to get measurements and ideas for the full trajé that we will be ordering ASAP. I'm going back this week for guitarron strings and maquinaria. I highly recommend this store for all your mariachi and folklorico needs.
I’m a customer for life. I’ve never been to the actual store but I’ve bought multiple suits, belts, botines, strings and just about anything I ever need through their online store. If something is not listed I don’t hesitate to call their customer service line because I know they are top notch and always expedite what is needed in a timely manner. Nothing but premium service from their customer service/sales team. Thank you.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY BECAUSE YOUR PACKAGE WILL NOT ARRIVE ON TIME. even tho my items were ordered on a business day , my order will not arrive on time because they did not process my order and I paid express shipping $30 extra for an order and my package won’t arrive on time. And when I talked to customer support they told me to deal with it because it’s their schedule however they did not specify that their delivery won’t be on time due to them being closed on regular business days
I'm sorry to have to say this, but the quality of the mariachi skirts here is absolutey terrible. We purchased 2 skirts and the zippers broke on both. They feel so cheap, like SheIn/ Temu level and for the price they charge, it's absolutely ridiculous. You are better off purchasing from Amazon.
My daughter is enrolled in the Danzavida De San Antonio Dance Company and the owner sent me to Mariachi Connection to purchase the skirt and boots needed for the class. They have Great service and had a wide variety of things to offer. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was reasonably priced. I Would definitely return.
