Mediterranean Market KC

The best tabbouleh I've had in ages and great falafel wrap! The grocery side is spectacular and I have to contain myself to keep from buying too much there. The people are so nice, too and are always getting new stuff in.

I think this is the best Gyro in the city. And there are a LOT of good gyros here! 🥙 I've shopped a few times at @mediterranean.market.kc and today was hoping/thinking they'd have orange blossom water, but was also ravenous... This gyro is exactly what I needed. Fresh, hot meat. Crisp onions and lettuce and actually ripe tomatoes. Lots of lovely tzatziki. Fresh, chewy, warm naan. 🤤 And I had to try the pistachio baklava so I have a baseline to consider when making my baklava rice krispie treats (which is what the orange blossom water is for). Next trip I'm diving into one of their Mediterranean pizzas...

Amazing!! Best falafel I've had in all of the KC metro area!!! Their hummus is soooo good, as is their bean salad, orzo salad, and dolmas! I'm excited to try the baba ganoush next time. Everything is so fresh and made from scratch with love. On top of that, the owners are awesome and so friendly! I will definitely be back time and time again!

Great variety! They have a hot food grill I will be trying soon as well!

Stopped in for a few grocery items and tried their cheese baklava. Absolutely amazing! Best I've ever had. I can't wait to try more from the menu. Best store to grab a bite to eat and grab some groceries. Very friendly and helpful too!

They’re still getting set up but we decided to get a chicken gyro and some fries on a whim. Gryro was great! Chicken seasoned nicely, fries seasoned deliciously! We picked up some spices too while we were there, great prices! Will come back! :)

PHENOMENAL Mediterranean food. I don't write reviews that often, but felt like I had to tell others and want to support this family-owned & run business because I was so impressed. The food is fresh and delicious every time. Always consistent. This is the best Mediterranean food I've had anywhere in KC & MO and we have eaten at a lot of different places. Very clean interior and there is a store section where you can buy ingredients to make a lot of these dishes yourself as well. Staff is very friendly and make it a warm and inviting environment. We come every week without fail!

The market is great with so many options to try. I ordered a Greek salad from the restaurant which left a lot to be desired. For the romaine lettuce, it was all stalks and there wasn't a single green leafy portion. The flavor was pretty bland as well. The lentil soup was pretty good, though.

We’re traveling through the state and decided to stop here to get a gyro. I would say while we had no complaints over the food (both our gyros were amazing actually), the lady who took our order was incredibly rude. She barely looked up from her phone and when she was addressing us her tone and overall attitude toward us made us feel like we were a nuisance. What really made me leave this negative review is that when I asked to use the restroom, I went in and there was no toilet paper. Of course I quickly walk out and ask if there is any toilet paper I could use and she quite literally said “use the paper towels for your hands, the toilet roll is a big roll and I’m not going to give you that.” Mind you, I am half way through a pregnancy. Essentially, the only reason I’m giving this place three stars will have to be for the food. Choose your future workers more wisely next time bc that was incredibly inappropriate.
