I just had my first salad from there... Amazing! It was fresh and delicious. Great portion and very filling! Will definitely recommend this place and will order again.

Everything was good, including the pleasant server, the quality of food, the wait time but the thing I liked the most was the right serving size. We ordered a sandwich (split into two) and a *half* pizza. Cannot recommend this place enough. Amazed.

I’m an Applebees employee and traveled from Des Moines and had to check out a sister restaurant from our franchise and was BLOWN away! I really hope Iowa gets one soon or we will be making many of trips here. My husband and I tried the Tuna Lemongrass bowl and the Buddha Bowl with chicken in place of tofu. Our kids shared the Pepe pizza. Everything was AMAZING. 100/10 recommend!

Everything about the food here was superb. Hands down Kansas City's freshest, sustainable food choice! I got the Summer Seared Ahi Tuna bowl and added Sustainable Salmon. My partner got the BBQ Beef Sandwich with a side Kale Salad. We each tried a couple of sides of sauces as well. I can't tell you how fantastic every bite of this meal was. Modern Market Eatery is what their competitors next door wish they could be, it's seriously that good! Everything was fresh, the protein was cooked perfectly and served hot while the salad pieces were cold and crisp. Each sauce was handmade and you can truly taste the difference. The pricing was fair and competitive for what you're eating. Nyla the cashier was so helpful at making suggestions and all of the staff at Modern Eatery were kind. I can't wait to go back!

First and foremost. I must acknowledge excellent customer service when I receive it. Micheal Pitts' professionalism was awesome. He engaged us in genuine conversation and was overall friendly. Eating at this establishment was like going to your good friends house for dinner. Restaurant owners and anyone in the food/service business need to emulate this guys work ethic and cordial demeanor! Now, the food. Absolutely amazing! The Lemongrass ahi tuna was great. The fresh jalapeño is a perfect addition. The curry salmon is really good, too. This place has fast food down to a science! If other companies would model their platform obesity and diabetes would drop. Excellent healthy food. We also indulged in a garlic mushroom pizza that was top-notch. Their drink are refreshing. Try the black ice tea. Perfect!

Modern Market Eatery in Kansas City blew me away! The food was soooo fresh and flavorful—every bite tasted like it was just picked, prepped, and plated with care. You can truly taste the quality and thought behind every ingredient. They also have a lot of great kids options. The space itself is stunning—modern, bright, and welcoming, with a vibe that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. It’s the kind of place that feels good just to be in. And the service? Next-level. Huge shoutout to Melissa, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing. Her warmth, attention to detail, and kindness made all the difference. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, with service that makes you feel like a VIP. Can’t wait to come back! This place is awesome! My wife and I ate here everyday during our stay in Kansas City. Not only was the food great but the service was exceptional. The manger was a young gentleman and he went above and beyond helping us acclimate to the city. A truly fabulous experience. Note: this review was for summer of 2025 but we still look for a Modern Market every city we visit. Wish they would come down South.

The pizza had a great crust, and the sauce was nicely balanced. Forgot to take a picture of the chicken bbq pizza but that was yummy too, and the bbq sauce wasn’t too overpowering. I didn’t like how the arugula was charred, I don’t think it needs to be cooked in the oven, it’s supposed to be on top as a fresh element. I’ll be back to try the bowls, looks very well balanced and healthy. All the seating inside and outside is a plus!

Best healthy option in town! We did a quick stop on our way through to St. Louis and we could not have chosen a better place. After five days on the road, I wanted something fresh and Modern Market Eatery did not disappoint! Melissa, thanks for your hospitality and dessert 🍪 for the road! Very accessible off the highway!!

I wasn’t blown away by this place, the portions are smaller and it is delicious. I liked that the tofu was just warm and the broccoli was cold and had a delicious dressing. I wish the menu had more vegan options and the portions were better for the price. A friend got build your own salad and there wasn’t a menu to help you build your own, you just needed to ‘know’ based on the ingredients on the other bowls what to get. Also the rice and quinoa are mixed together- if you have an allergy to rice or quinoa be mindful of that.
