One of my fave rental car locations. The staff are friendly, quick, and make the rental experience easy. Rich, Alphonso, and Sydney are top tier.
We had a great experience with National! This was our first time with them and they really came through. The rate was the best of 4 companies I checked, the service was excellent and the car itself was amazing (Ford Edge). I will definitely be a regular with National from now on.

I've been so impressed with their warm professionalism and their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients. They provided me with a smooth, speedy car rental after a number of failed attempts to receive this service from their competitors. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for Paul, the Branch Manager. His highly individualized and compassionate customer service cannot be beat!

I cannot say enough good things about the Chicago downtown loop location and most especially the customer service received from Sidney! She is so wonderful, friendly and helpful. Reserved a small car for 2 people, only to be offered 8 seaters making for high road trip gas cost. Pick up, drop off transactions were easy and quick. After ride, was correctly charged for a toll of $2.47 plus their own junk flat fee of $25. So now, this company has now moved to the bottom of my list when searching for car rentals.
Such a joke. They were supposed to open at 7am (per confirmation email) and then decided the night before we picked up (9am reservation) to not open until 11:30, without so much as notifying us (thank god I googled location night before). Unacceptable. Created a total nightmare for our family. called the national car rental number 3 times. Nobody could help, all eventually just hung up on us without offering any solution. Disgusting level of incompetence. Zero accountability. Do not rent from here, you will very likely regret it.
We booked a regular economy car, but upon arrival, Sidnei rudely informed us they had none available and insisted we pay extra for an upgrade. Another worker, Tyler, overheard our conversation & mentioned there was an economy car available. Sidnei said, “I’m not cleaning it, so they’ll have to pay for the upgrade.” Tyler offered to clean the car himself, and had it ready within 10 minutes. He even provided his email in case we needed further assistance. Tyler’s excellent customer service turned a frustrating experience into a better one.
I hate an incredible experience here. The staff was very helpful. Picking up my car was very easy. Special kudos to Sidnei who made sure I had a car I could drive in the snow since I was in from Arizona. They gave very clear and easy directions on returning the car and even provided a printout with photos of where to enter. They included the local phone number as well. Drop of then became a breeze. Afterwards, I realized I left a sweatshirt in the car. I worked with Sinei and they are sending it back to me. I couldn’t be happier with my experience!
