Depressing store, depressing staff. If I visit an old Nelson's again, I will walk up o JFK Boulevard instead. The place at 20th and Chestnut did not get my sandwich order correct. It had hot peppers and pickles on it, 2 things I did not ask for. The entire sandwich went right into the trash. I thought I would give some business to a local Deli. But I will never revisit this old Nelson's location again.
Terrible. They sold me a pack of Kools opened with one out. I brought it walked acrossed the street ordered food and saw it was already open with one out. When I returned to store, both clerks insisted I open. This went on for 5 minutes while they talked about me in their language and I asked for a manager and they told me "not here". Then they tried to ignored me so thats when I got loud and one clerk went to back to explain to someone again in another language. I went back there and explained to him a smoker would not light a costly cirgarette to cross the street and then throw away. He told her to give me a new pack. For that 10 minute interaction with them has proked me to never return to that store and everyone I can tell this story to I will. If they were the last store selling Kools on earth, I will probably stop smoking.
They make a wide variety of sandwiches. Lots of healthy fare also. They have a small ramp for for special need brothers and sisters. Nice place.
Excellent food! Very fresh, well made and tasty. We ordered hoagies, chili, and salads via grubhub. Everything was perfectly wrapped... thank you! 💙
I’ve been coming here for a year and a half and they are consistently the best hoagies in the city. 10/10 hands down. The Jewish Hoagie is aces!
