Often times as a corporate executive, having an objective party to collaborate, bounce ideas and strategies off of is rare. Well I found this in Jason and value our exchanges we shared. This really helped clarify my path. Thank you for your assistance in my professional development.

In my experience and opinion this aura of professionalism and "great reviews" hides a culture of mediocracy and incompetence that failed to deliver on the objectives set forth in my service agreement. Paul Mitchell was to assist me in my transitioning to the Phoenix area, but I was met with substandard support, inconsistent processes and no follow-up. Over the course of my agreement, I was assigned different advisors as the Group as such PMG, in my opinion, failed to maintain a consistent staff. This unexpected turnover rate caused an barrier for me to develop any consistency of service, trust, traction, and progress. I expressed my direct frustrations with the lack of progress to my advisor and it fell on deaf ears. Even when I reached out directly to Paul, my email was ignored and I was reminded by PMG of their service agreement which includes an illegal “Mutual Non-Disparaging Clause”. As such they have threatened legal action against me and other people in order to skew Google and Facebook Reviews in their favor. I believe this to be why the Better Business Bureau will not accredit them and a few of the 1 star reviews have deleted their specific comments. It is worth noting that Mr. ****** rebranded his company in 2015 from “Phoenix Career Services”. The previous company was marred with poor reviews which are online if you search. I would also be highly suspicious of their overall review score due to the practice and the fact that many of these Google and Facebook five star reviews are from employees or families (Brandi ***** is an employee, Pimm *********** is married to Paul ******, Rebecca ****** is friends with Brandi *****). Further, recently in the last two months, I have received such communication from PMG's attorney stating “I have been instructed to go ahead and initiate a separate lawsuit against the both of you. I suggest that in order to avoid further litigation, you act to have those defamatory publications removed immediately.” after I wrote a review to the Better Business Bureau. But in that I am speaking the truth, I feel this review is accurate and truthful. And as they are soliciting reviews, this serves as mine.

My experience with PMG was mixed. I felt I was oversold on what they were going to provide and felt their fees are high for what was provided. Most of their programs are pretty common sense. They did provide some connections, not job leads, that I may not have been able to find on my own. If you don't have any job hunting skills and need some help, PMG may be for you. If you are looking for a resume writing service or actual job leads, consider other options.

It’s been a while since I have had to look for my next career move. Meeting with PMG helped me understand the new landscape and sharpen my ability to interview. Also collaborating with my adviser (in person and getting away from my computer) really helped me stay on task, navigate, and transition effectively.

They evaluated my skills, education, character and using my background, experience, work history and specific interests, narrowed the job market to a small subset of quality opportunities best suited for me. I got an immediate sense that they wouldn't waste my time or theirs if they didn't truly feel they could find not just a job, but a career best suited for me. In a short amount of time, I received an offer for a position within an expanding division of a company, in an industry where limitations are minimal, and I gladly accepted. My only regret was that I wasted six months, aimlessly job hunting before I knew they existed. Thanks PMG… I don’t vouch for many, but I WILL be recommending you to others.

This group of folks is top notch. My search was greatly accelerated by pushing me to get my story together faster and better represent myself in front of corporate recruiters. Then, giving me confidence and positioning for a strong salary negotiation. I left with clarity in my story and deliverables in a professionally written resume and LinkedIn profile to back it up. As with any coaching arrangement, you get what you put into it. The folks at PMG are high caliber and will give you everything they have to push you and market you, but you have be ready to work, respond and act.
