The main problem with this store is if you show up when their stocking the shelves, they act like you are the biggest jerk for being there and don't give you the nicest looks. This is even after politely asking to grab something. It's very frustrating. I was there between 10:15-11:15am on a Saturday. The positive is the underground parking and you don't have to deal with the rain.
This place feels like a prison... why are we being surrounded by cops to shop for our dinner and why are we forced to scan our own food are there no cashiers??? This place feels extremely wierd.
My issue with this QFC is that there seems to be no uniform set up between stores so I never know where to find anything. There's just no method to the madness and as much as I love a self check out, the lack of employees makes it difficult to get help finding anything. More uniform store layouts would be helpfull in my opinion.
I am disappointed in the people who work for QFC! The store it self is fine, it's the employees that I have issues w/. The last few times I've gone in there was to put money onto my Cash App card. One employee said he couldn't do it was because it wouldn't scan my barcode. He wasn't actually scanning the code, he kepto ing it so it wouldn't read. Another employee said by law I couldn't take it off my EBT cash part to be put onto my Cash app card. So when I purchased something @ the self check out,I with drew the money. LMAO.... he wasn't expecting that, & then HAD..... to load onto my card. There's been a couple more, but it's pretty much the same. They were ALL.... Too Good & I guess Better than me, to help someone beneath them! Tho there Job is to help the customers. & that's what I thought I was!!!
I love this store. Been going here for years. That commitment took a big hit this Saturday morning at 10:43 am. I had just finished up with self check out. There was a man in his late 60’s/early 70’s who had also finished in front of me and he was slowly making his way to the exit. A security man stopped him and demanded to see a receipt. The old man said faintly “What? I’ve never had to do this before.” To which the security man said loudly, “well your business isn’t leaking profits is it?” I waited as they were blocking my passage. The elder was looking through his grocery bag and softly said, “I didn’t know I needed to keep my receipt,” obviously flustered by the encounter. To which the security man said smugly and judgmentally “there are signs all over the store.” His tone was so condescending and mean that I had to squeeze past them to get out before I rose up to conflict. He didn’t even care to ask me for my receipt🤷♂️. I turned around for one last look as I started climbing the stairs to see the security monkey making the sweet elder empty his entire grocery bag in search of the elusive receipt. Come on QFC! You’re better than this. Please rethink the company you have hired for security and find a new one that actually trains their employees in social sensitivity and basic manners. If this company is still providing security for you at the end of 2026 I will no longer be a patron. It was truly disrespectful and disgraceful what that security man subjected that quiet, gentle, sweet elder to in the name of “just doing my job.” DISGRACEFUL!
Great selection. Great price. Not 5 star because 2x times they wouldn't tell me the bathroom code. This was on 2 separate days , separate staff
I am fairly sure I was just prejudiced against there when I went to make a return. This store sold me moldy cheese less than a week ago and wouldn’t let me make a return because they’ve “had more instances of fraud”…okay? What does that have to do with me? I work 2 blocks away and spend 50 dollars here at minimum per week and they wouldn’t let me do a return for $5 moldy cheese. I’m brown and visibly trans and this was a cis straight white guy for the record, who was simultaneously trying to run all the self checkouts at once, the only registers that were open, and there was no one else around who could help. I’m pretty angry and will be telling everyone else I work with who also buys food here regularly.
Security staff is amazing and friendly, so is the liquor shop. Just say hi and they'll remember you if you say it enough. But over all great people . That includes pharmacy people as well
Has a decent selection of products and quality standards are alright. But the customer service leaves something to be desired. And the "armed guards" at the checkout leave the whole experience sitting not well in my psyche.
For a city grocery store, this one is pretty good. However, they are not going to have everything you are looking for, so you might need to make multiple trips a week. For example, I went yesterday (a Thursday) mid day, and they had no seafood: only a bed of ice. But, they have a larger than normal selection for a downtown grocery store. They have a full produce, alcohol, bakery, and grocery section. With that said, I’m thinking their supplier/receiving might be less frequent throughout the week, likely due to downtown proximity? Either way, set your expectations. Store is clean and staff is pretty responsive.
