QFC

It is a small grocery store close to my neighborhood so I like the convenience. Their Deli & Bakey goods are delicious and their customer service is good 🙂

So I try to avoid this store at all costs because they are the worst store in Sellwood. That being said, it was the only close option as my wife and I walked to get dinner and then walked to QFC to get some items(snacks, hard seltzer) for our dog sitters that are staying while we will be out of town. The long haired fellow that was running the U-Scan apparently decided that I was intoxicated(which I wasn't, I actually said nothing) and told my wife that he could sell to her but not me, on our way out the door, and said "next time get the message" whatever that is supposed to mean? Anyways, this QFC sucks. Nobody in the neighborhood actually likes going here. It's like a big plaid pantry except the people at plaid pantry have better customer service. People in Sellwood go here out of convenience only. I will continue to avoid this place and spend my money elsewhere.

At 2pm the store was busy but not crowded. When I was ready to pay, there were no open check stands (cashier had to be called). Self checkouts were in use with a line about 4 deep. Is it a staffing issue, or just a busy Sunday afternoon?

Abysmal customer service. Have had multiple bad experiences but tonight was the final straw. One of the worst grocery stores I've ever been to on the west coast. The only reason I'll give it 2 stars is because the bakery and deli are decent, but the rest of the store and staff are ridiculous. I'll happily take my shopping to Fred Meyer in Milwaukie or Safeway in Woodstock. Place is a joke.

There is always a huge wait around 5pm. You would think that they would realize this and staff one of two extra check stands, instead there is an aisle long line for the self check out, and the one check stand that is open is staffed by a but taking his absolute time with each item, very slow. With prices this high you would think they could open at least one or two more check stands from 4:45 to 5:30.

Every time I go here I get talked to rudely or asked to move while I'm shopping for staff to push mop, which is something I was trained to never do and they're rude about that, too. It's an experience I don't look forward to but it's close and sorta cheap. I really hate coming here and I can't wait to move so I have other options. You shouldn't make your customers feel like they're annoying you for shopping.

I often arrive at this store 10 min before close for 1-2 items. If i'm let in they grumble at me. Tonight I arrived at 12:48 a.m. thinking "I made it"! But no, the store was locked and an employee yelled to me that they're closing. If your business is not truly open until 1a.m. please list your hours accurately. Very frustrating and unprofessional. And

So tonight my fiance service animal and I were heading in tog et dinner tonight 10/12/2024. We come here a lot more than 2 times a week. We love this place and especially the fresh food in the morning/afternoons. Until Tonight. We were walking in and heading towards the pop section to get drinks and as well turn there's a man stealing but also had his very aggressive dog with him, his dog almost attacked my registrated dog. So I look at the security guy and tell him "are you just gonna let aggressive dogs go after others now?" And instead of watching anf following the guy that's stealing with the mean dog he decided it would be best to follow us. I started recording as soon as I felt uncomfortable, which was about 4 and a half mijutes of him following us around very heru closely like a secret shopper. My partner told him "how would you feel if I were to follow you around while you try to shop" (may I remind you this is ALL recorded on my phone) I went up to the manager Ted and he said there was nothing he can do I explained everything and he just says sorry. Which I understand he's doing his job but he's profiling me and my partner and dog as a guy is legitistealing in front of his face while his dog is growling at other small dogs and mine. So I asked Ted watch hell follow us and sure enough he did FOR NO REASON and I believe it was because I told him to pay attention instead of watching the air my dog just almost got attacked. If me saying "so now you just let aggressive animals in" offended him then he don't need to work that job. He worked for metro one and I got a VERY pretty picture of the security guy smiling and FLIPPING us off. So sorry to say but you guys will be losing us as customers and probably many more due to him and his lack of training. Hope you guys figure it out. If I could post the photos and videos on this review I would but it's only giving me the option to rate stars and comment my review.

Place kept clean. Store can use fred Meyers sales coupons. I like there daily bakery. Store not very large so makes it easy for a quick shopping needs. 4 self check out registers.

It's a Grocery store. It's like a Fred Meyer, only more expensive.
