Red White & Blue Thrift Store - Arlington

I give this store a 5 stars for the pricing and quality of items but a one star for the rudeness of some employees there. First I want to address that about a month ago a Hispanic lady with red hair who is an employee told my husband to put back a pair of jeans over in the men’s section. It was a pair of jeans that someone else had just left on a rack without a hanger and he moved it out the way as he was looking at items on the shelves above the racks. He told her he was not the one who left it there and she just huffed and puffed upset about it and said “ok” and snatched the jeans from the rack and went to hang them over in the men’s section. Then as me and my child walked over to the toy area she walked back over and started telling another employee in Spanish that my daughter made such a huge mess and that her mother doesn’t know how to pick up after her. I told the lady right away that the mess was from someone else and not to blame my daughter. I never allow any of my children to make a mess in any type of store because I know what’s it’s like to have worked in retail. I addressed the situation to the managers and they right away handled it. Today about 35 mins before closing time I walked into the store and wanted to quickly look around at what the store had so I could come back the next day at open time to shop around. I wasn’t able to buy anything this evening because I forgot my debit card to get cash at the atm and didn’t have any cash on me. But as soon as I walked in an African American female employee with a foreign accent stopped me and my daughter and said they were going to be closing in 30 mins. I didn’t respond to her but then she told me once again and said to come back tomorrow. I looked over at her and told her I know they were closing in 30 mins but I can still look around if I chose to. She just gave me a bothered look and shook her head. She was also telling other customers the same thing making it seem like she was urging incoming customers not to come in. And she was bothered by the ones who still chose to stay and look around. I just honestly feel like this store needs to have a big team meeting and put their foot down on these employees about their attitudes and how they confront customers about things being left around the store blaming them for the mess that’s made. It makes the public feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. One day the employees who do this are going to do it to the wrong customer and I would hate for anything bad to happen.

The selection is unbeatable, some of, if not, the best in DFW. However, there are some major issues. 1. It's cash only 2. No refunds or exchanges 3. And no dressing rooms So if you take something home to try on and it doesn't fit, too bad so sad. I really don't understand why thrift stores do this. It's unfair and, frankly, pretty crappy. Also it'd be great if they worked on their check out speed. There were two cashiers for over 20 people in line on Good Friday, so I waited over 15 minutes just to check out two items. It seems that the cashiers have to frequently leave the register to go "check" on something for at least 2 minutes, so during that time, we're down to one cashier for 20+ customers. And when they both leave to "help" a customer look for something away from the register, well now we're just stuck. It really slows things down and makes it a frustrating shopping experience.

I’ve been thrifting for over 20 years, and I avoid this place at all costs. The prices are sky high. I’ve gone twice and both times I’ve only found maybe one or two items and decided not to purchase due to pricing. There are many other thrift establishments around - spend your money elsewhere and get so much more value for your dollar. I do appreciate that the store was well lit, organized, and clean. Didn’t interact with any employees so I can’t comment on service.

I enjoy visiting this store. It is in a rather busy part of town so I don't go too often. It is very large & well stocked. It is cash only but there are signs upon entering letting you know. I believe there is also an ATM on site. I've never looked at any of the behind the counter items because honestly, most likely, they're probably a tad over priced but also things I most likely don't even need. :) I've never had any negative issues with any staff members - polite & helpful when I've had any questions. My only qualm would be the lack of mirrors that would allow you to at least partially try on items. I fully understand the no dressing rooms but it wouldn't take much to hang a few more mirrors at the ends of some aisles.

Love RWB… we go every Sunday and try to make it on Wednesdays too. Always something new and different and you never know what you will find. What is consistent is the people. Chris does a great job and is friendly and helpful every Sunday. Prices are very competitive and the cash only policy works great for me. We have a lot of thrift stores in the DFW area but RWB is far and away our favorite.

I had a great experience at Red White & Blue Thrift Store, thanks to Damon, the Store Manager. He was professional, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure customers had a positive experience. Damon went above and beyond to assist me and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The store was clean, organized, and full of great finds. Outstanding leadership and customer service. I highly recommend this store and truly appreciate Damon’s dedication and hard work!

first time coming here, all i wanted was a small item that shouldve been $4.99 but had 3 different tags and they wanted to charge me the 6.99 tag, i asked if i could get it for 4.99, old guy said no that “people are watching him” told him to get a manager he said he was “super busy” and it’s his “ busiest day”. mind you they get these items for FREE all i wanted was a box of christmas nativity set, it was the only item i was wanting. never coming back, do not recommend supporting this thrift store, everything seemed overpriced. i’m not the type to write reviews.

I like shopping here. Love the fact that they have four discount colors on a daily basis. The store is pretty well organized. Would like clothes to be selected by sizes instead of colors though. Had one experience where I had two exact same items, one was not marked, and they wouldnt let me buy it. They wouldnt get anyone to mark the price on it for me, but said they would mark it and put it on the floor the next day. I thought that was weird and didn't make sense to me. None of the items I bought that day were even on sale. I didn't like that. Then a couple of days later I was shopping there and I hear an announcement to that effect, and it said they didn't want you to bother the people putting stuff out on the floor. So if you find something without a price, you can't even ask someone to help you with pricing. Not helpful at all.

Update! They are open on Sunday, and there are far more decent prices. I'm going to raise this reviews rating one star per week as long as this continues to be the case. Looks like they decided to play ball! Open till 9 now, prices improving, sales system functional, occasional great priced finds, most things reasonably priced!

Come here highly recommended. The staff are very respectful in the store is clean and very organized and the store manager. Tanya is amazing. She will help you and she goes above and beyond highly recommended.
