Tried the pistachio coffee and pistachio pastry — absolutely delicious! The coffee was smooth and flavorful, and the pastry was fresh with the perfect pistachio taste. Such a lovely combo. Will definitely be back again!
Drinks were amazing I got the mango matcha and the mango flavor is really strong!!! Def recommend this new Coffee shop to those who want to try!
Im in from out of town and looking for a good wake me up. Upon walking in to Shibam the vibe of the cafe was very welcoming. A clean esthetic but also warm and inviting. The music, exotic to my ear, was enticing and energetic yet soft enough to not make me feel like im not violently being forced to wake up. The young lady greeted us with a warm smile and was soft spoken yet audible only adding to the ambiance and soft energetic energy. I got the pistachio latte because why not. It was a perfectly sweet latte with a double shot just for what i needed. Then, because im here for work at a music festival and have a 12 hour day, I was helped by another young lady who walked me through all the coffees before I settled on the Turkish coffee which she warned me would be a good amount of caffeine but lord knows I need this rocket fuel! Holy cow, turkish coffee is amazing!! This spot is dope and I wish them all the success. Sincerely from a moderate coffee snob. P.s. I did not try the food but the pastries/sweets looked so dang amazing.
amazing food, stunning place and great service, coming back again 100%
Disappointing experience. I came here to work, but it's impossible when they have the music blasting and the Wi-Fi sucks. The service matched the environment; indifferent and unhappy. To make matters worse, the San Sebastian cheesecake was the worst I’ve ever tasted because it just tasted like eggs and it wasn’t worth the $10.
I had the pleasure of visiting this beautifully crafted Yemeni coffee shop yesterday, and I was honestly surprised the lines weren’t longer considering their amazing reviews. The cashier was so polite and patient as I crafted my drink — and kept adding to it lol. During this blessed month of Ramadan, a server came around offering dates to break the fast, which I thought was such a thoughtful and beautiful touch. That small gesture really stood out to me. I’m already planning to go back today to try their brown sugar shaken espresso!
The drinks are sooo teaa 😝and also the atmosphere
The ambience is amazing!! It’s great ambience to be productive in, and the drinks are very well-made. The prices are honestly decent for the quality of drinks/food. If anything tho, the service itself was unique compared most other cafes. They don’t bother you too much, but know the perfect balance of catering to whatever you need. I tend to get social anxiety, but they way they talked to me and caught on to moments when I quietly needed help made me feel very comfortable.
You have to come here. The space is huge, has tons of seating. Their bathroom is pristine, and even better because it has a baby changing station AND a bidet hose! And the adeni chai was amazing, and we also got a mojito that was a combo of strawberry and blueberry and I absolutely loved it. It hit the spot perfectly. The iced pistachio latte is on the sweeter side but I finished that for my husband. Did not get any of the sweets but they looked very nice. Service was a bit slow but I am from NYC, our yemeni coffee spots have a speed so I understand if Philly is a bit more laid back. The servers were really nice. I would love to hang out here or do some writing work.
Shibam Coffee shop is conviently located in University City. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy with ample sitting. The coffee I had was smooth and perfect combination with tasty sendwich and pastry. Staff is friendnly and accomidating. This will be my go to place for a delicious cup of coffee anytime I am in the city.
