Excellent coffee I wish they have better people to serve. Highly recommended for coffee.
Philly’s coffee scene is getting a major upgrade! I was lucky enough to attend a private event at Shibam in University City and now I found my favorite cafe. The space is bright, airy, and flooded with natural light—the white and gold decor creates such a warm, inviting atmosphere. There’s even a cozy lounge area perfect for reading or catching up with friends. The menu is the real star. The Yemeni coffee was incredibly smooth and perfectly balanced. For food choices, their artisan beef pastrami sandwich was high-quality with so much flavor in every bite. It really hit the spot. I also tried the mango and chocolate cherry mousse mini cakes, which paired beautifully with their massive drink selection (the strawberry virgin mojito is a must-try!). Whether you're a coffee purist or just looking for a cozy hangout, this place has something for everyone. Keep an eye out for the Grand Opening!
They have amazing service. I love there selections of drinks and desserts. I definitely recommend the shibam signature latte.
Shibam Coffee exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walk in, the space is stunning — clean, modern, and beautifully designed. The gold signage and detailing give it such an elevated feel. We ordered multiple lattes (the latte art was perfect), a pistachio specialty drink, sandwiches, and a pastry — everything was fresh and full of flavor. The pistachio drink was honestly one of the best I’ve had. Smooth, not overly sweet, and really unique. The sandwiches were warm with fresh bread, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. And don’t even get me started on the dessert display — it looks like a luxury bakery. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and high-quality drinks and food. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. Philly needed this.
This has to be Philadelphias greatest cafe. The line was out the door but made sure to be quick as they can. The drinks came right after i ordered. Made sure to be on point and the correct orders. Went as a group of 12 three times and every time they were on point and made the right drinks right away. The second and third time i came the owner remembered me and my group and really appreciated our business with them. There customer service is honestly great and I recommend if your looking for coffee and some desserts run to Shibam.
The Shibam coffee was wonderful. Service was attentive. Really nice place to chill and relax. Banana pudding... Wowzers!!!! You won't leave disappointed.
friendly owners! Great Yemeni coffee! Tried the brown sugar shaken espresso with cold foam and was NOT disappointed!!! Cute place to sit and work or talk with friends. Nice bathrooms too.
Amazing coffee and food. Beautiful decor. A must visit when you are in the area.
Shibam makes THE best pumpkin-flavored latte, and they make it year-round for those of us who start craving Halloween in the summer. The staff is also very sweet and super helpful with recommendations. The pistachio milk cake and Biscoff donut are a must-try.
10/10 experience! The service was a little slow even though they had 4 workers, but the owner (?) gave us a free pastry for the wait, which my partner and I felt was so thoughtful of him to do! The pastries themselves were so delicious. I’m a big savory girl so I got the chicken puff, which was exactly what I wanted and more. My partner got the taro donut, which was so rich and decadent and STUFFED with taro cream. For our drinks, we ordered the matcha frappe with medium sugar (highly recommend, may be bitter otherwise) and the dragon fruit refresher. Both tasted exactly like how Starbucks makes it 🫶 The interior design is also beautiful. The owner really put a lot of effort into building this cafe, down to the little tree in the middle of the cafe. We’ll definitely be returning as regulars!
