If I'm being honest, I didn't expect this place to be nearly as good as it is! We came here just for sips, but these are honestly the best wings in Philly. We tried the Buffalo Lemon Pepper, Smoked Jack Daniels, and Honey Garlic Parmesan. Each one was better than the next! The smoked jack Daniels was my favorite but the buffalo lemon pepper had such complex flavor and a creeping heat that was just incredible. I've never had anything like it, honestly. Their happy hour is from 4-6 and sips menu is 4-7 so you can settle and relax here or use it as the first stop of a great crawl. Ok beer selection but the cocktails were great. The apps were good too, I completely trust the kitchen here

I’ve always had a great experience at Strangelove’s—good food, great staff, and always a fun time! They have the best events and drag shows! Even if there’s not a show, there’s good vibes to hang out and always arcade games in the back and paint kits from the bar.

Strangelove’s is such a solid spot. The smash burger is really good—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. If you’re a fan of spicy margaritas, their habanero tequila is a standout and adds the perfect kick without being overpowering. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes the whole experience even better. Great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere overall. Definitely a place I’d recommend and come back to

We found this little place perchance and they had great little drinks and good eats too for a reasonable price. Yummy food and the drinks were not bad at all! The people there were super nice! Definitely would love to go back. We got there early so it wasn't hopping yet but by the time we left. It got busy!

My husband and I had our wedding weekend welcome party at Strangelove's in February 2026 and had a great experience! The upstairs private party space is beautiful, and the cost was extremely reasonable. There are food and bev packages available, but we opted to pay by consumption at the bar. Our guests had a great time mingling (I will say the space was a bit tight for ~100 people), with the comfy sofas and gorgeous bar area. They also loved the pool table, photo booth, and video games! We'd highly recommend Strangelove's for any private event!

They have no staff Im here now on a Sunday evening and they have one person running the whole restaurant including the bar and it was actually insane. The place is packed. The food was a 5/10 loaded fries that were overcooked . I do give it to the server he did amazing for being alone. Edit: regardless of it being a sports weekend with fifa going on there was one person who was the bartender, host, and waitress/waiter??? How is that in any shape or form fair to your staff ? And maybe you should do right by your staff ensuring it wouldn’t be a busy weekend we are in Philadelphia.

I’m not sure if it was a combination of a Sunday night & their Love Island Watch Party but the service here was terrible. We had been anticipating visiting for a while as I saw several posts on social media about it. We made a last minute decision to come here and watch Love Island & we were highly disappointed. We sat at the bar for 30 mins without service so when a table became free we figured we would just switch. I still had to flag the waiter/bartender to ask if they were even serving food. His response, yes but only bar service & I had to stay in one place. The same bar where I wasn’t being serviced. When we did go to order, we were told the kitchen was very backed up because they had ONE COOK (during an event). This information could have been shared prior to wasting my time. I gave it two stars because they were kind enough to put Love Island downstairs for the patrons that didn’t RSVP. The bartender also had no sense of urgency & was rude. The experience was short lived. We left without ordering anything. A shame actually, as I was excited to finally visit.

Strange Love is such a hidden gem in Philly! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was fun, comfortable, and inviting. What really stood out was how personable and friendly staff was! They made the entire experience feel genuine and welcoming. Definitely a place where you can relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and have a really good time. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Strange Love to anyone looking for a great spot in the city!

I was so excited to go here thinking they had amazing wings, since they brag about 30 flavors….but what a joke. The most disgusting, overcooked, tiny wings I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even finish them. The guy running food was nice. Service was slow and basically non existent but wasn’t his fault - their lack of wait staff just made no sense. All of the drinks tasted the same with minor differences. The truffle cheesesteak and waffle fries were good; didn’t taste any truffle, but good enough to make this review a 2-star instead of 1. That’s about it. Wouldn’t go back. Edit in response to owner: If all of the drinks at my table tasted the same, why in the world would I keep trying more? Even two drinks shouldn’t taste the same. So the snark wasn’t needed. Also, you get one chance to impress a customer, and that’s upon the first experience. First impressions are key! Looking through the reviews, it seems consistent that the wings are small and overcooked, so I would not like another chance for you to change my mind.

Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner tonight and she tried the defibrillator challenge, it is not for the faint of heart. My girlfriend is so strong and powerful and she lived in SE Asia for 7 years and has the most insane spice tolerance i’ve ever seen, she could not finish the challenge… I have never seen this woman even come close to to breaking a sweat or crying when we eat spicy food together which she regularly cooks, but these wings are no joke. She got 3 down before calling it quits (8 is the amount given for a 10 minute challenge). Super fun night, will def remember this one :) spicy margs rule, but after trying one of her wings just to see what’s up, i was crying and then my spicy margs tasted like just lime juice lol. 10/10 food experience
