We had a work happy hour for our retiring manger and everything was great. Our bartender Adam was amazing and the came out pretty quick. We ordered the lemon pepper buffalo wings (it was like a mixture, kinda like a citrusy/spicy deal) and the bartender suggested that we get sour cream with them instead of blue cheese. Game changer lol. The drinks were buy one get one so we got on fairly quickly.
Strangelove's is a great bar, but PLEASE schedule more than one FOH employee during Happy Hour! The draft beer was warm as well.
Very friendly staff, good appetizers for a quick lunch while in Philadelphia. I'd definitely go there again if I was in the area.
Strangloves hosted our running group for an after party. We had a fantastic time and staff were wonderful. The atmosphere was great and we will come back as soon as we can.
A great burger and cocktail (called Marriage!). Loved the food. Server was great; the chef brought out the food and made sure I was happy. (Would have preferred different music, but that’s just preference.)
Not my greatest picturrs, but it was nearly pitch black in there. If your shy (or introverted) like myself, than eating here is difficult because youll need to be go up to the bar to order, as there isn't really table service, they bring food to you, but thats pretty much it. But the staff is easy to talk to and they listen, so it isnt so scary to go talk and speak up (¯―¯٥) We ate here on a comedy night, so be sure to you know whats going on before going in, We just happened to end up here because we remembered an old menu they had, but a lot of changed since that time, years ago! Overall nice place and vibe, fun and social, not for me for sure, but we were hungry on a busy Saturday night! Penne Vodka: portion was huge, the sauce and taste was great, pasta was firm, and more than enough to fill you up. Hamburger: Very meaty, I forget how huge hamburgers can be, so awesome, I almost have a heart attack. The meat was cooked just right. The fries were nothing special, but still good and crispy. Orange Ginger Chicken Bites: Crunchy, yummy bites of chicken dipped in some orange ginger sauce, its ok, it taste didn't blend well as good I imagined. Its like a chinese twist, but something that should just stayed as a regular fried crunchy chicken bite is good enough for this menu. Cheese Curds: this was yummy, its fried cheese, you cant mess it up.
Went in for a late lunch. Just the right amount of attention by the bartender, as a few of us chatted. Great drink and phenomenal food. Love the vibe.
Best wings I’ve had all year! Nice vibe, the staff was super nice and the owner too! 10/10 do recommend!!
We had our annual luncheon at Strangeloves. We used the second floor event space and was positively overwhelmed by the space. The food was amazing, service spectacular and the wall art was gorgeous. I grabbed wings and nachos as an à la carte meal because I came late but the wings were crunchy and not those tiny wings that some places have. Also the nachos were still crunchy even with the beans.
Went for HH. The wings are some of the best wings I’ve tried thus far. I had the honey hot lemon pepper wings and also the Jack Daniel wings. So freaking good! 10/10!! The truffle fries didn’t last 5 mins. They were delicious!! It was also national burger day. The double smash burger was only $5 so I was excited. When the burger arrived it was barely any cheese on it and so flat! Definitely overcooked. Looking at everyone else’s person, I was disappointed as theirs looked scrumptious!!! I did enjoy the service though! I’ll definitely return for the wings and fries for sure!!!!
