I got "lucky" making an appointment with Tristan last month. I was so excited for my first suits too. The day of, he confirmed and I told him that I honestly looking for something in $800 price range. When I showed up to the store on appointment time, he made me wait. I waited for over half an hour and left. He simply stated that he was too busy with another client. He couldn't give me a heads up when I was on my way. No apologies or anything, simply offered to reschedule after making me wait. So I simply declined. I don't know the quality of their sutff, but their customer service is absolutely shit, and I'd rather throw money away than supporting this company.

I recently tried SuitSupply and I’m really impressed. Great quality, solid value for the price, and helpful service. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for well-made clothing.

Listen, I walked into Suitsupply in Manhattan looking like a slightly rumpled accountant who'd given up on life, and I walked out looking like I could make an offer on their building with confidence. But here's the real MVP of this story: Maxime. This man is not just selling suits – he's conducting a symphony of fabric and fit. He took one look at me, didn't judge my questionable sock choices, and proceeded to work absolute magic. He knew exactly what would work before I even finished mumbling "uhh, something professional-ish?" Maxime has this rare combination of expertise and patience that made me feel like a valued human rather than just another commission. He explained fit options without making me feel like I needed a fashion degree, steered me away from a jacket that would've made me look like I was playing dress-up in my dad's closet, and somehow made the whole experience actually fun. The clothes? Immaculate. The service? Unmatched. Maxime? An absolute legend who deserves a raise and possibly a statue in the store. If you need a suit and want to feel like a functional adult who has their life together (even if you absolutely don't), go see Maxime at Suitsupply. You won't regret it.

After spending probably about $5,000-$7,000 at Suit Supply on 5-6 suits over 8 or so years, they finally gave me a dud. I wore the suit once, put it on months later and the pants very easily ripped due to a material defect. Never snagged on anything, not worn out from use, no size change from me (I've been the same weight for 25 years). A $700 single use suit resulted in a measly $250 gift card so I can buy more junk products. I will not be purchasing anything further from Suit Supply, mainly due to the dismal customer service. If your customer service team can't admit that not every product you make is perfect, I can't give you any more of my money. And it's not just the result of this instance, it's the increasingly poor attitude and confidence to pair a declining product.

Two years ago, I purchased a custom-fit suit from SuitSupply’s SoHo flagship store for about $1,800. The suit was tailored specifically for me, and I’ve only worn it four times since purchase. It was professionally dry-cleaned once. This past weekend, while attending a wedding, the pants suddenly tore—not along a seam, but straight through the fabric. For a suit at this price point, that kind of failure is completely unacceptable. I brought the issue back to the same store, expecting at least some accountability or support. Instead, the associate told me that my body had probably changed over time and implied that was the reason the pants ripped. I found that comment both unhelpful and inappropriate. I was then told that SuitSupply and the manufacturer wouldn’t take any responsibility and that my only option was to buy a completely new suit at full price (with free alterations). To make matters worse, I was informed that the original fabric is no longer available, so the pants couldn’t even be replaced. I later reached out to SuitSupply’s corporate office with a detailed letter explaining the issue and never received a response. For a company that markets itself on craftsmanship and quality, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected much better from SuitSupply—both in product durability and in customer service. I won’t be purchasing from them again, and I’d strongly recommend others think carefully before investing in a “custom” suit that the company doesn’t stand behind.
