This is an absolute gem of a shop, with an excellent selection, excellent prices, and most importantly, an extremely friendly and knowledgeable proprietor who will help you find the perfect sake (whether you're a total beginner, seasoned pro, or anything in between.) Don't overlook her small yet mighty wine selection, also. One gets the feeling that this business is a true labor of love.
We stopped in to pick up a bottle of saké and were delighted to discover this gem. We opted for a tasting and the owner picked 4 to help us find what we liked. Nina’s passion for saké is evident in her curated selection of bottles and willingness to share her knowledge. I’m so happy we have this spot in Portland! Note that the shop has moved from its original location on Killingsworth to 107 SE Washington St Ste #121 (same building as Olympia Provisions).
