Sunflower sake is an amazing unique spot filled with knowledge and respect for sake! Nina is an amazing host and shares so much background on each sake and its brewery, it’s always a pleasure coming here. I always opt to order sake flights which allows you to try different kinds of sake, and gain more knowledge on the sake making process. Recommend anyone and everyone to come and have a sake experience!

This tucked away little sake shop is amazing! There is so much love, knowledge, and passion that goes into every aspect of this place. They occasionally have a vegan version of their Oden night and it is incredible! The level of detail and care that goes into these bowls of soup is a work of art. And possibly the only place to find vegan Oden in the United States? They have a great variety of sake, with something for everyone and great recommendations. Highly recommended!

One of our favorite places to hang out in Portland. Chill, cozy vibes and great sake. Nina and Molly know their stuff! Wednesday flights are a great opportunity to try some unique and interesting sake with good company, we learn something new every time we're there. I highly recommend stopping in to check it out. Whether you're brand new to sake or already know what you like, you'll definitely find something to enjoy!

A Sake gem in Portland. Their showroom is fabulous and has an enormous selection of different styles of sake and Nina is extremely knowledgeable. You can tell she has a passion for it. Her class was fabulous, extremely informative and worthwhile. If you haven’t been yet, you should! Also, the space is open and beautiful.

This place is a hidden gem! We had the best time chatting with the owner and enjoying sake. Our tastings were customized to our preferences, and we learned a ton about different styles and Japan! The snacks were a great touch, and the vibe was perfect. One of the cutest places we visited in Portland and would love to come back! A must go! Please take tips in the future. ❤️

A sake joint that can handle whatever you want, whether it's to buy a bottle coming from zero knowledge, to find a good pairing for a fancy dinner, or to have a quiet drink. I highly recommend the sake club if you're at all inclined to this sort of thing.

I was looking for a nonalcoholic sake on short notice, which is very hard to find. I sent Sunflower a dm, and they got back to me within an hour and offered to special order it for me! They were super kind and friendly and went out of their way to be helpful

this place carries sakes mainly from smaller breweries and carries quite a few Ive never seen outside of japan. You can also get well tailored sake flights here depending on the style of sake you are most interested in! They also occasionally hold events teaching about sake and offer sake subscriptions as well. Genuinely my favorite sake shop outside of Japan

Super cozy space with a great selection of sake and helpful, knowledgeable staff. This is one of THE places to get and learn about sake on the west coast. They have an especially great selection of aged sake which is my personal favorite. Don't skip it if you're in Portland, and if you're into sake, make the trek!
