Excellent apothecary hidden in Pike Place. Wide range of healing products, local and legendary. Always enjoy browsing the unique selection of books. Online ordering available for pickup and delivery.
I LOVE this shop -- just walking over its threshold instantly puts my mind at ease, and in a calm, peaceful, and happy state. They have an amazing selection of incense, stones, books, soaps, herbs, and oils -- some mainstream (Burt's Bees, Dr. Bronner), some not-so-mainstream (the shop offers its own products, as well). The prices are *excellent*, and it is one of the few stores like it (Rainbow Natural Remedies & Zenith Supplies come to mind, but they are in the Capitol Hill and Roosevelt neighborhoods, respectively). Tenzing Momo is definitely my favorite.
I have to say every time that I have came here it has been not the best experience being in the store. I honestly just don’t think that this is a place where black women are welcome and I will make sure that others don’t come here.
Everything! The google posting labeling the biz as an addiction treatment center is incorrect. Lets help Momo fix that! Tenzing Momo is a retail store for many healing herbs, teas, tinctures, sage, soaps, rocks, singing bowls, candles, incense, cards, books, jewels, talismans, card readers, most helpful staff. Tenzing Momo is one of my favorite places. All kinds of cool stuff in there. Incense, essential oils, herbs and everything in between. I buy all my essential oils here, great prices, friendly knowedgeable staff. Highly recommended. 5 Stars.
I was in the area yesterday and decided to stop in. The store was not open but the employee who was just coming in to work opened up a little early for me. I really appreciated that since they didn't have to. They answered some questions I had and were really friendly. Told me since I lived far south I could have items shipped to me also. That was super nice to hear. Picked up some Kava and crystal for my car. Alway a nice experience. 🙂
I love this place! I also love that it's nestled in the back of Pike Place, off the beaten path, away from the sound of tourists. I feel like I am transported back to the early days of Pike Place, heading to my local apothecary to garner up my herbs, spices, and essential oils. It's truly a wholesome atmosphere.
This place is always a joy, especially when they have an unusual spice i need for pickling season! Cassia buds are apparently hard to find in Seattle. I almost ordered them from Cleveland's historic West Side Market, but called on a hunch. BTW, your hours of operation need a Google Map update. See you in the morning!
