Veggie Grill - downtown Portland, OR We're in Pdx for a few days. Sooo many places to try, new and old, so little time lol. While we can eat Veggie Grill in Seattle, tonight we opted for convenience as Veggie Grill is within a few minutes walk of our hotel and I've been jonesing their Pan Seared Salmon protein plate ever since it was first announced but haven't had the chance to stop by Veggie Grill locally. We got a bit carried away with ordering too much, which isn't unusual when going to Veggie Grill lol, it almost seems sacrilegious to go there and not order some variety of Mac and Cheese 🤷😅. Everything was great, VG never disappoints 🙌. The cheese bites were great, haven't had them before .. pretty sure it's a relatively new offering. The center was soft and cheesy and nicely balanced with the dipping sauce. The Seared Salmon had a great flavor. If I'm being honest, I didn't find it to be very reminiscent of salmon, there was no flakiness associated with salmon, this dish had more of a vegan spam feel/ texture. This was my observation but it's not intended as a critique, just my objective take. The dish was really good, very flavorful, the color was reminiscent of salmon and there was a subtle but noticeably pleasant seafood-y after-taste on the back end. I have to mention how friendly and personable everyone was. We've always found staff at VG and Next Level to be friendly but everyone tonight just seemed really genuinely approachable and friendly. Kelsey took our order for us and chatting with her really felt like we were in a place where we belonged, a vegan home away from home, an extra touch that was really appreciated. So my recommendation is ... come for the food, come for the camaraderie, and then stay way too long because you're gingerly nursing a food coma from ordering and eating too much 🤭🤤.

Tried this place out with vegetarian girlfriend. Interesting rabbit food. Flavorful with a nice variety of textures. The yams were boring but everything else was a curious departure from the dishes I typically eat. Also created a nice pooping experience later. Pretty expensive though.
The food here was pretty good. I ordered the Mondo Nachos. The clear glass windows inside is great for people watching and a view of the Portland city. The area is a little bit cleaner than on the other side. The nacho sauce could have been a little thicker, however I liked how the ingredients were evenly distributed over the tortilla chips.
My coworker recommended this restaurant. I was hesitant at first but ended up loving everything that I've ordered. ( through grubhub!!) Sweet potato fries, Roasted garlic broccolini, Crispy Cauliflower, Far East bowl, and the house veggie burger (not pictured) are my favorites!
So good! We're not full time vegan but do enjoy vegan food and this was simply delicious. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place to eat good food. I’m not Vegan but enjoyed the burger very much. And the staff was very helpful.
The kitchen and dining room play different songs at the same time, so it’s torture for the ears while trying to eat. It would help if the kitchen crew used headphones or sync up the music so that customers only hear one song at a time.
Amazing place! I absolutely love every dish I've tried from them; my favorite is their burgers. Everything is perfect, and all vegan! I had to double check to make sure because of how realistic it tasted. I can't recommend this place enough
