Great selection. Only downside is the 40 year old black heavy set dude. Bro needs to brush on his client interaction skills or lack of. People need to leave their problems at home when going to work. A greeting and being patient doesn’t cost a penny.
I visited the Whole Foods Market in San Francisco. It was a bit smaller than what I am used to, but that is pretty normal for the city. I was happy to find what I was looking for, Three Trees almond milk, which is the only almond milk I trust because it has no unnatural ingredients. Whole Foods is the only place I know that carries it. The store was clean and well organized. They have self-checkout stations, a small café area, and convenient underground parking.
Just tried to buy a sad bottle of wine at the WF on Market st and the cashier asks for my ID even though she didnt card the 2 people ahead of me. I asked why and she says I have a “youthful” face gritting her teeth and looking away. And a photo of my ID wouldn’t do… so I guess I should feel flattered but it feels like something else… Subtle, silent moments like these really ruins a Friday
I like this Whole Foods security system, 2-3 guys at the front to deterred trouble people from entering and making a scene. This store is well stocked and clean, came here for some cheese, they have such a large selections. I also like their prepared food sections too. But at time some of the vegetables seems too old and dry. I guess come only during peak times so everything is fresh. The only negative is this is own by Amazon and I generally don’t like their business model.
I’ve been a regular customer at this Whole Foods for years, and I want to raise a serious concern about how security is being handled. There appears to be a pattern of profiling, particularly targeting people of color wearing hoodies or caps. I’ve personally experienced being followed and closely monitored multiple times over the past 3 years, while other customers dressed similarly are not treated the same way. What’s more concerning is that I’m not the only one. For example, a review by Johnn Stamoezz also describes being stopped by security right at the entrance and treated unfairly. There are other similar reviews as well. This clearly suggests a repeated pattern rather than a one-off incident. This kind of behavior creates an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for customers. When interactions feel targeted and intimidating, it can escalate fear and tension unnecessarily. I strongly urge store management to take this seriously, review these complaints, and address the conduct of their security staff before this situation escalates further. Every customer deserves to feel safe and treated with fairness and respect.

Self checkout experience is terrible. There is 0 cell reception at checkout and their WiFi is only working half the time. Good luck trying to use the Amazon app to generate a QR code to get a prime discount and pay without a connection!
Cashiers were very nice but the selection is very limited compared to other Whole Foods I've been to.
POOR ADA access to motorized shopping carts at 2001 Market Street. For the folks who can only take a few measured steps while using their vehicle for stability can not walk to the elevator nor can they walk from the elevator to the customer service desk without assistance. 1. In order to access ada carts you have to travel by elevator to the shopping level. Approach the often unmanned customer service desk to obtain key and hand of your ID. PROBLEM- 1. no signage posted near/at disabled parking spots or near elevator detailing how to access carts. 2. No problem solving from staff who have no mobility issues. Suggested walking to front of store. Where there are no ada parking spots. 3. No assistance from security as well as misleading information provided by security 4. Verbally detailed non written policy regarding why carts can not be left near disabled parking spots and elevator. This policy seemed to be a theft prevention policy rather than an accessibility concern. Possible resolution s 1. Post sign with customer service phone number. 2. Document a process to obtain assistance (key to operate) with staff assistance. 3. Consult an ada expert to review the steps a person with a mobility issue has to do in order to gain access to the store using store cart. 3. Have "assistant managers" reflect and summarize what and why the disabled person is sharing their barriers and shopping experiences. Your staff didn't get it. They both missed the necessity and need of having access to a mobility device upon exiting their vehicle. PS Thank you for a response. Once you pass our disappointment along. How will we know what if any processes have been approved. Who will follow up with us and the community. PSS- suggestion for customers who's mobility will not change can you complete a customers card where the store verify their identity thus eliminating the need to hand over their ID which will reduce the opportunity for ID theft and leave the ID in the store.
