This place is was fantastic. The BBQ was just so dang good. Best I've had in the city! Ashley the bartender was so nice and helpful. She really made the experience outstanding! We will definitely be back!
My wife and I went for the first time today. Beautiful restaurant interior with super friendly, professional staff. The food was great. The loaded mac n cheese with brisket was smokey and delicious. Moving to meats, turkey was moist and smokey, ribs super tender. The pork belly burnt ends had a great bark. Brisket and pulled pork were also delicious. The pickles were phenomenal. It was a garlic flavor with onion and a little bit of spice (not sure if it was jalapeño or what, very mild). Great experience!
Three of us went out and ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, the Chopped Brisket Philly, and a Two Meat Plate (brisket and ribs). The brisket was excellent - the best brisket we had during our trip! Unfortunately, the pulled pork was disappointingly bland. The Philly sandwich was good but had too much cheese and less meat. The side of fries was tasty, albeit a small side.
We have endlessly searched Kansas City on various trips trying to find the best BBQ. I grew up on TX style BBQ, so my perception of good BBQ is definitely slanted that direction. So I am often disappointed in KC by the pathetic excuse for brisket they most joints serve. Thinly sliced, dry, flavorless slop. Wolfpack has excellent brisket. It's thick sliced the way god intended, well seasoned, perfectly juicy and tender. Their ribs are pretty outstanding as well, if a bit too peppery. The jalapeno sausage was delicious, and we enjoyed the beef burnt ends and the pork belly burnt ends. My wife thought their pulled pork was as good as anywhere we've been. We also appreciated that they have some local craft beers on tap. I wish they had more selection but it's still better than many places. Most places that people say are supposed to be "good" are usually disappointing. But this place met our hopes and expectations and we've already gone back a second time after our first visit. And we will definitely go back again when we go through KC another time.
First time coming and I will come back! Our server/bartender was Jordan, super friendly welcomed us in, explained the menu. Service was fast and great. Wolfepack knows the secret to really great BBQ! The sauce is just an accent to complement the meat. I had brisket and turkey, both extra tender and moist, BBQ sauce is optional. My husband chose ribs and sausage . Both were excellent! Seasoned fries are crispy, delicious Mac and cheese has a good flavor and I can’t say enough on the baked beans, smoky and meaty delicious. Jared Wolfe came out to greet us and wish my husband and I happy anniversary. Strawberry cheesecake was complementary for our anniversary, absolutely delicious, they gave Cheesecake Factory a run for their money. You can tell it’s homemade.We spoke a bit and he even recommended trying his competitors. That’s confidence and he knows what he has. I appreciated that he paid homage to Henry Perry the original KC BBQ founder. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Got the Mac and cheese with pulled pork off the appetizer menu, and it was more than enough to fill me up! Everything about the service and food quality made for a fantastic dining experience at Wolfpack BBQ & Burgers. Fourth time here and there will definitely be more!
Wanted to try something different than the usual barbecue suspects in Kansas City. Wolfpack barbecue delivered. I enjoyed the brisket, turkey and burnt ends. The turkey was honestly, my favorite. The mac & cheese was so so, but the fries were good and perfect for dipping in the sauces.
Wow. Just wow. We have been to KC for bbq crawls & have tried the rop-rated with great satisfaction. Years after, we came again only to be somewhat let down by our usual haunts. This time we tried a new to us place and experienced some of the best bbq ever. The burnt ends, ribs, sides. Oh my! Best bbq in a while. Service was amazing. Next time in KC, we’ll eat here
We had the BAR-B-Queterie Board, Buffalo Turkey Dip and a quarter lb of burnt ends. Full 5 stars, so so good. Chloe was our server, she was great! Will be back to see her for sure!
