I went for the first time a few days ago even though I’ve lived nearby for a few years. Matcha is amazing! Thank you for still carrying soy milk!
I had heard about this place as a community shared public space, and brought my homework here to try it out. They have tons of seating and charging outlets, including three or four private phonebooth-style offices for zoom/phone calls. The cafe is available if you want coffee/pastries, and everyone was very nice! It was fairly crowded but still had seating and the wifi was good 👍
When I think of the ideal coffeeshop/work place - I think of this place. It’s perfect. Good wifi. Great coffee. Customers mostly all there to do work, so you don’t feel like the odd one out working away on a laptop. So glad I have this spot nearby so I can break up my working from home routine.
Delicious coffee with friendly service and a spacious atmosphere meant for co-working!!! That right there is worth 7-stars cos there aren’t any places designed for you to sit at and work at. The one thing I wish they did better is serve food so I could sit there for longer. They do have pastries and cookies to go with the coffee, so you’ll have enough caffeine and sugar to stay amped for your work. We accidentally broke the glasses we had and they cleaned it up promptly by saying “glasses are meant to be broken”!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
The best coffee shop you could ever work from. They really thought of everything. The lighting is warm (not fluorescent - thank you!). It feels home-y and cozy but also clean but not too clean that it feels sterile. There are private booths to work from if you need quite. There is a printer. They play music that is instrumental and calm. The coffee is also great and reasonably priced - they don’t scorch your milk like many other spots (aka, you buy a cappuccino, and you get a real 6oz microfoam cup of coffee). Highly recommended - I almost hesitate to write this because I don’t want some TikToker to make this place go viral and get packed.
Their coffee is good but the best part is the coworking environment — crowded enough to feel like you’re in good company, but can always grab a spot to work comfortably. There are a couple of phone booths for taking quick calls, which is awesome— but be respectful of others and don’t plan to post up in there! Service is also always friendly and quick.
What a find ! Right off Hawthorne , perfect place to work or study . Individual table and one large more large groups . Mellow atmosphere. Love yhe minimilist theme and coffee is great ! Found my new work space for the week ! Ssshhhh dont tell everyone
I’m obsessed with this place. I moved to Portland 3 months ago from Florida, and I’ve gone to 27 coffee shops in town so far to do remote work on my laptop - this one is in my top 3. The natural light and open air is so nice. The beautiful wooden roof and all the plants give it such a cozy vibe. Ample seating & outlet availability for us remote workers. The coffee is affordable and delicious (big fan of the seasonal Banana Bread Latte right now). Everyone who works here is super friendly, too. Music is at the perfect volume and I personally love the genre choice - things like Mumford & Sons, Hozier, and Lord Huron - very chill and relaxing. Oh, and the veggie egg burrito is perfect & super fairly priced. They also have a PrintWithMe printer you can use if you need access to a printer, which is a great resource to have. I literally have nothing bad to say! Thank you, Annex 🩷
I would give the atmosphere 10 stars. Very mellow music, very warm ambience with soft lighting, a wood ceiling, warm tones in everything plus tons of plants. I've been intentionally seeking out new coffee shops recently and this one was on the way to work. Super friendly staff, great latte, perfect place to relax with a couch and the cool little phone booth like pods you can use to talk on the phone or whatever. Definitely recommend!
I stopped by just to get some water. Very nice café. Thank you for the free water served in really pleasant cups. It’s a great place to work with a cup of coffee — there’s Wi-Fi, a printer, and even quiet private booths with power outlets and a small desk for a laptop. Unfortunately, I don’t live in this area; otherwise, I would visit often. As I understand it, this is a café connected to a church and open on weekdays. That’s a really great idea. I’d love to have something like this at my church too.
