Best work spot I’ve found in Portland to date. Love coming here. Plus they have 3 small private booths to take calls from. Limited food options but what they have is good!
If you are here as a hangout for you and your laptop, which pretty much everyone is, then it is great. It is quiet and the coffee is ok. However if you are here to work on a Bible study with a Bible and a printed lesson, the lighting is very poor. When I was a member of Hinson, the coffee shop was presented as a place where people could come and share their Christian experience with each other. But that is not the way it turned out, and with the large number of coffee shops within walking distance, I believe it was an extravagant investment in "carrying coals to Newcastle".
Such a vibe! First place I’ve visited in my trip to Portland and felt so welcomed. Baristas gave me a ton of suggestions for my visit and whipped up some great bevs for my crew. Great place to get some work done!
Nice place to study and chill. Staff is friendly and coffee is good (ordered a light ice vanilla late).
I didn’t want to write this review because I was afraid people will discover this gem and it will get packed like other great caffes in town. But this place deserves a share and highlight on a map. The vibe here is something special. Coffee is great, interior is gorgeous, tables are sturdy and don’t spill your drink, and let me tell you about the OUTLETS! They are plentiful!!! This is my new to go spot for journaling, working, reading, and meeting friends.
I can't review Eastside on food or coffee because I couldn't find a comfortable place to sit and plug in, even though there were many open seats. I am a 58-year-old, plus size person, and the tiny metal stools that offered a plug-in for my computer pretty much looked like torture. The very kind young person behind the counter suggested the comfy stuffed chairs, but it was with a small table that I would have had to hunch over, or put my laptop in my lap. Not a good environment for a larger person who wants a good 6-hour writing session. I'm bummed. (Pun unfortunate.) Maybe they can up their stools and chairs game. Billed as a workspace, it's very thin-centric. 😟
This is a great space to work from if you’re looking to get out of the house or office for a change of scenery. There’s a variety of seating options available, from desks and benches to more relaxed armchairs, so you can choose what suits your working style. The staff are friendly, the drink selection is solid, and there are plenty of plug sockets for charging your laptop or phone. Plus, the internet is fast and easy to access. All in all, it’s a comfortable, well-equipped space that makes working remotely feel easy and enjoyable.
The atmosphere was very chill and great for getting work done and the service is fantastic!
I thoroughly appreciate how work-friendly this place is: bench tables (with chairs), standing ledges, call booths, and music that is not too loud. Friendly service as well.
