Wonderful spot to work great staff, and even better coffee. They have phone booths so you can have private calls. Plenty of space to work and easy to park around there.
It’s good coffee. Nice vibes! As a millennial, this is the most millennial coded coffee shop in Portland. They play Pumped Up Kicks and Electric Feel back to back. Please update your playlist with some new music or old just some variety!
Great neighborhood coffee shop and community space. I've frequented this place since I work in the neighborhood, and they've always been strong on good standard and creative seasonal coffee/tea drinks. The service and staff are great- they make you feel right at home, and the space is ample, welcoming, and inspiring to folks seeking a work or creative space outside of home. They recently reinvented themselves and I like what they've done with the new atmosphere and menu! This isn't a restaurant or brunch spot, but they've always offered some yummy pastries and decent breakfast sammies. They now have a new breakfast sandwich with a housemade sausage fennel patty which is really quite delicious! I'll be back for their new breakfast sammy not just cause I'm hungry and work down the street, but on purpose for a yummy satisfying breakfast sandwich that's on par with what I could get at other spots on Hawthorne! (And at a reasonable price) They've also hosted crafts/artist markets in their space! And always feature local artists on their walls. They're looking to host more events, too. Really great neighborhood hub, can't say enough nice things about this place!
Been coming here as a regular for a few months, staff are lovely, great place to hang for an hour or three whether you're working, studying or just vibing Music selection rotates a bunch – one day you'll get Death Cab and MCR and the next you'll get Don McLean and Lee Ann Womack – but it's always a pretty chill mix Gets a bit buzzy on weekdays but never to the point you can't hear each other and there's always a few seats open Overlaps a bunch with the church next door, but not in a bad way – as a visibly queer interfaith-leaning-agnostic person I've always felt welcome and never out-of-place – it's mostly just giving "community" (even if it ain't my community) Outlets and call booths are a godsend for folks who work remote
I stumbled into this place a few months ago on a trip to the PNW. My world was opened to another level of coffee experience. The quality of the roast, gregarious baristas and calming vibes make Eastside an excellent place to stop in for a coffee or post up for a workday or with a good book. Ask about the left handed latte, but they seem to not always have it available.. I definitely fell in love with this place and it's top of my list anytime I can visit!
Lots of outlets for working and so far parking has been easy to find on the street. 3 soundproof booths to take calls or watch loud stuff. Love this spot. We need more work places like this!! Coffee and pastry pricing isn’t bad either.
This place is amazing. They even have little booths where you can take zoom calls. And by calling it "Workspace", it really clears the air and enables tons of people to come and be on their laptops, guilt-free. What makes it fatal, unfortunately, is that it is too dark. Feel like I'm working in a convent. I still haven't found my go-to workplace since Lolo Pass closed but this is a strong contender. I'll likely be back.
This is a great spot to work/study. There are usually seats open. However, the music is WAY TOO LOUD to focus. I drove 20 mins today and only stayed 10 mins due to not being able to focus
Love the workspace, love the drinks! I come here sometimes to work, they have the best workspace and coffee combined. It's sad to see they got shut down again for indoor seating. Hopefully it will open up soon once things are safe again! Note: I love their matcha lavender latte!
Most of everything about the place was amazing! The service and food were exceptional. The music is pretty loud, and I know this isn't a library, it's just really hard to focus on reading a book in "low-key relaxing environment."
