This is my favorite Hawaiin food in the PDX metro area. My favorites are the kalua pork with kimchi and Mac salad, and the moco loco! Comforting food and a pleasant environment.
Their elevated Hawaiian meals are super tasty. We shared a Locomoco, and a Poke bowl. The Locomoco was just like what you'd get in Hawaii, but stepped, the burger and eggs were cooked perfect, and the shiitake gravy was amazing. The Poke bowl was so fresh tasting and the light sesame dressing really made it great. We stopped in for a late lunch, and really didn't have any wait. We got a Mai Tai, and it was quite strong, so if that floats your boat, get it.
Super nice and happy staff, incredible food, and a fun atmosphere. A definite do-over!
Got a plate of Korean grilled chicken from their cart at pickathon, and it's bomb. The sauce is piquant without being too hot, rice was perfect texture, Mac salad was about a 4/5 tho tbh.
Super good loco Moco. As good if not better than what I got on the Island. Teriyaki Chicken rocks too!!!
Omf!!! Amazing. Absolutely bomb. "Broke Da Mouth" Teriyaki Sauce where have you been all my life? My husband and I just arrived in Portland. A little flyer had Ate-oh-Ate mentioned as a must eat and noted it's decent prices. We are not disappointed in the least. We would easily be a regulars if we lived in the area. We had the short ribs and teriyaki chicken with rice and Mac salad. Do it. Eat here. Find out what's missing in your life.

OH MY GOD if you are considering eating here, DO IT!!!! I just came in here absolutely starving and ordered the shoyu chicken sandwich, fried rice bowl with sausage and butter mochi. The sandwich was soooo good, unlike any sandwich I’ve ever had! So many flavors. And the fried rice 🤤 you need to try it. Butter mochi was weird though tbh
The mac salad was the best this side of the Pacific ocean! If you are a Hawaiian Cuisine loyalist...this may not be the spot for you.
Got delivery for a work lunch, loved the shoyu chicken, rice and mac! Make sure to have the chile pepper water, it’s a can’t miss 🥰
