Hands down one of the best Hawaiian restaurants in Portland Oregon.The food was excellent, I told all my co-workers at work so they're all going to go there now and try it with their families....
had a lovely time here. great staff, really friendly. the food was amazing. try the sauce at the table, it's amazing on everything. and the mai tai is sneaky but delicious
Food was ok. The pulled pork was really dry. We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken+Kalua Pork and Loco Moco.
My husband's teriyaki chicken was good as well as my kalua pork. The macaroni salad was decent. The rice and green salad were bland. The restaurant is loud, both the stereo and the employees talking very loudly in the kitchen. (There's no sound baffling) The graffiti in the restroom is tacky and the paper towel dispenser is surprisingly loud.
Friendly staff. My food came out within 10 minutes after I ordered, and the portions were bigger than I expected! Everything tasted great!
Ate-oh-ate embodies the unfortunate "heroes to villains" example. From Portland darling restaurant to downright disrespectful to the patrons that have brought them business to expand to multiple locations. Cardboard katsu "chicken" thinner than the fork used to eat it. Hockey puck burger patty and severely overcooked eggs on the loco moco. $20 a plate. That's the last one for us.
Got the chicken katsu and Mac salad today with rice. Nothing special, I would say average Hawaiian food spot. There are better ones such as Iolani in my opinion. Good portion sizes. Especially rice. The sauce was good. Friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Listen, the food is delicious. No question. We are happy vegans. But what has guaranteed my loyalty forever is $7 kids plates. Period. It was an actually appropriate amount of incredible food for hungry kids. 10000/10 would recommend for literally any one.
I get the teriyaki chicken and pineapple slaw anytime I’m having a rough day and need a little pick me up. It’s seriously my all time favorite comfort food. If no one’s got me, I know ate oh ate teriyaki chicken got me.
