Good cocktails, cute speakeasy vibes, but the place is tiny tiny. Very dark, very intimate, very “hope you like your personal space violated if it’s crowded.” Service was a little slow, but to be fair they were slammed. Also important: this is not a go-for-drinks-and-food kind of spot unless your dinner plans are almonds.
Bathtub Gin & Co is a hidden little speakeasy in Belltown with a cozy, vintage vibe. The entrance is easy to miss, but once you’re in, it’s all dim lights, great cocktails, and a chill atmosphere. The bartenders know their stuff and the gin-forward menu is solid. Perfect for a date or quiet night out..just get there early, it fills up fast
So, I just came out of this place. Interesting to find a speakeasy that clearly wants to position itself as unique and elevated, yet apparently invests zero effort into training its staff. There are very few places where I’ve genuinely wanted to leave no tip at all. This was one of them. Let’s start with the blonde hostess. I came in with my partner, and despite multiple tables being available, she chose to seat us at some improvised setup where she placed a stool as a table. I stood up and politely asked twice if we could take one of the open tables, and both times she intentionally ignored me and kept walking. Even the guys at the table next to us noticed it and started making jokes about it. Then our drinks arrived, and yes (the cocktails are very small, in case that matters to you) and even the waitress told us not to place the drinks on the stool because it was uneven. Which honestly made us wonder: why were we seated there in the first place? To make things worse, she also spilled water from the tray all over my partner’s pants while serving us and without even noticing. Overall, the experience was incredibly uncomfortable. The only reason we stayed was because we ended up chatting with the table next to us. So, heads up: zero customer service, judgmental attitude for no reason, and absolutely no interest in listening to customers. There are plenty of great bars in Seattle. SKIP this one.
Very old-school speakeasy vibe. The entrance is in a back alley and is barely marked at all, so just look closely for the wooden door with a small sign on it. The vibes inside are awesome, though it's pretty chilly in the winter. Only two non-alcoholic options, but they're both really good!
Intimate, hidden bar with a solid menu of gin drinks. Staff is friendly and the drinks are good. Fun for a unique night out in an interesting, older building with a real decorative bathtub inside. Definitely feels like a taste of Old Seattle.
Hidden down a Belltown alley, this cozy speakeasy nails the vibe; dim, intimate, and full of charm. The bartender was amazing and knowledgeable, crafting incredible cocktails that were as unique as they were delicious. Perfect spot for a drink or two after dinner.
Fun hidden spot, hit and miss for how busy it can be. The upper area is definitely the better spot to be in the bar area, the lower level is a little less "fun" for the speak easy "vibe".
I visited Bathtub Gin & Co. after some family members who had been there before highly recommended it and took us there, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. When I first arrived, I honestly wasn’t sure if I was even going to be able to enjoy the experience because I wasn’t feeling great after a large dinner and had a bit of a stomach ache. I asked for a ginger ale, and when our server Liesel asked why, I explained what was going on. Without hesitation, she recommended Underberg and swore that it would help me feel better. She was right! It worked almost instantly, and after a few minutes I was feeling good enough to actually enjoy the night and try one of their cocktails, the Cowboy Daze, which was fantastic. The atmosphere was already amazing with the hidden speakeasy feel, but what really stood out was the service. Liesel took the time to listen, make a thoughtful recommendation, and genuinely improved my entire experience. It’s little moments like that that turn a good night out into a memorable one. Huge thank you to Liesel and the Bathtub Gin & Co. team. I’ll definitely recommend this place to others!
Cute bar in a sketchy alley. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender. It's maybe a six seat bar with more seating at tables downstairs.
I had a chance to visit this wonderful spot 5/15. It’s a smaller space which really contributes to the speakeasy feel. The staff and service were excellent and the drinks were both well balanced and unique. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone seeking a great atmosphere and wonderful cocktails! Great for smaller groups and for dates!
