Carbon Health Urgent Care San Jose - Market Park

I have two major issues with the service I received at Carbon Health for my most recent annual wellness visit: 1. The provider failed to fill the prescriptions we discussed during my visit, and 2. I was billed for this visit because Carbon Health failed to submit the required information to have my visit billed as preventive services In response to these two issues, both my insurance company and I have spent literally hours over more than a month to get both the provider and the billing office to resolve the errors, but we have received no resolution from Carbon Health. Ultimately, I had to get my prescriptions filled by a separate provider in a separate (and unnecessary) visit. Meanwhile, Carbon Health’s billing office, which claims to respond to inquires within “7-10 business days” has been radio silent for over a month despite both myself and my insurance company making repeated attempts to help them submit the claim correctly so it processes as preventive care. In summary, the only person I could recommend Carbon Health to is someone who is looking for a truly unique patient experience where you get to learn the responsibilities of your provider and their billing office in enough detail that you could work there. Bonus points if you enjoy doing everything you can to help them do their jobs only to be completely ignored while they continue to send you bills that should have never come.

Ive brought my kids here twice now and have been very satisfied both times. Staff is courteous and doctors take their time to give proper care.

I’ve been here for urgent care a couple of times. Location is convenient, staff is friendly, and they will try to accommodate walk-ins to the best of their ability. Wait times are reasonable too. Highly recommended!

I was experiencing pain after urination. My daughter transported me to this facility. The waiting time was very short, the nurse very thorough and Doctor explained my condition, was thorough with checking me. It was a positive visit for me.

Being from out of state, I was very nervous to go to the doctor here in CA. From the minute I walked in the door, to the min I left I was treated with care and professionalism. Going to the doctor is never fun, but the staff here were so thorough and kind. I would 10/10 recommend and family and friends to be seen at this clinic.

My experience for drug test at this location went very smooth. Front MA and back MA - both very nice and polite and attention to details - very good .

Always a great experience @ Carbon Health. It was my first time at this location (Berryessa SJ) and I went in for COVID testing. The nurse and PA were both super nice, took the time to listen, take notes on my symptoms and thoroughly explain what to do with my test results. Also went in for a PCR Rapid and I received my results in less than an hour!

The staff is always so empathetic, which is much appreciated when you don’t feel your best. Very easy to book an appointment online and staff is very efficient in getting patients back and seen and then on their way.

I was a walk-in. They got me in and out quickly. They resolved my problem and were very professional. The entire experience was nice because they were all very friendly. I would recommend to anyone who needs urgent care.

Look on Yelp for reviews, because the rating is drastically different. I’ve been going to this carbon health for about a year for not only urgent needs, but also primary care needs. I’d definitely recommend them got urgent care needs or vaccines, but not for primary care needs. Urgent care needs: all of the staff are very friendly, they have been able to see me quickly and in the past, they sent referrals out quickly, so I could follow up. I might still return for urgent care needs, if I can’t go anywhere else, but nothing more. For primary care needs: Although the staff are nice, that’s not enough for primary care needs. They send abnormal test results via a messages, a week after they are promised, they don’t respond to messages, despite the phone message suggesting that’s the best way to contact them; they don’t return phone calls; and they don’t send promised referrals. Now the details: It is rare, that you are able to get ahold of anyone in the office. If you need to get ahold of someone, your best option is to physically go there, as they don’t answer phones, they don’t respond to voicemails and they rarely respond to messages on the app. Routine test results take over two weeks, yet they were promises to me in a week. I realize that test results take awhile, but they should over estimate the time it will take for results, than under estimate. Several months ago, I visited for a primary care visit and the provider assured me they would send out a referral and there was nothing I needed to do. I trusted that, and didn’t do anything. I came back for the same issue and the provider told me the referral was never sent and said, “you know you can look yourself too”. I know I can look myself and am perfectly capable, but she assured me the time before, that they would take care of it. I found my own referral within the week, as I never heard from them regarding this issue. The most recent visit was what really lost this location stars in this review. I went in for another primary care need, in which the provider sold to me. She assured me that test results take a week. I had to message the provider twice, in which she never responded and then had to call the office, in which the front desk staff person said that the results were in, but she’d have the provider call me. Another day went by, until the provider messaged me to tell me that the test results were abnormal, even mentioning the word cancer. She obviously has forgot h what it’s like to be a patient, as you don’t say the word cancer in a message, no matter the context. You don’t sent send someone a message at all, with abdominal test results. Even if I had questions or concerns about these results, the provider, nor the medical assistant, don’t respond to messages. I have since called and no one calls me back, or responded to my messages. They claimed they would send out another referral regarding these test results. Over a week goes by and I call the place they referred me to, to make an appointment. They claimed they never received the referral. The referral place, allowed me to make an appointment, but they needed the referral information and test results sent over before my appointment. Once again, I messaged carbon health on December 7th and no response, shocking. I called and left a message on December 9th, no response to my voicemail. Needless to say, I’ll be returning to my previous primary care provider, no matter how convenient carbon health is.
