Amy Pelz PA-C and the medical team were efficient, kind, and took care of my problem. I was pleased with the outcome. This isn’t my first time using Carbon Health and I would come again.
I came in to urgent care for a minor injury and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick the entire process was. The staff was friendly and helpful. It also felt like the PA who attended to me took her time to address my concerns, which was also nice. The facility feels new and I also really liked the relaxing background music. Overall, it felt much nicer than my average experience within the American healthcare system.
We tried calling to get an appointment for my daughter and was on hold for 10 min. So finally gave up and decided to just go there. When we enter, the receptionist asks us if we have an appointment and I said no. At this point the receptionist just rolls her eyes. So I ask what's the issue and she says that there is a 1.5 hr wait. The wait wasn't the issue. The eye roll was. Who gives a reaction like that at a healthcare facility ? The sign on their door literally says walk in welcome. And we wouldn't have walked in if we weren't on hold for 10 min. Needless to say we walked out of there and never going there again.

We called ahead of time to ask whether or not they accepted our insurance and they said they did not, but asked us to bring in the Medicare card itself and said that should be good. They charged us at the initial visit and didn’t explain what it was for and we were not given an invoice. We didn’t sign any paperwork authorizing them to keep card info, but we were charged an additional amount a couple of weeks later bringing the total to what they usually charge for an exam. I called their billing department and was told they needed updated insurance information. I explained what occurred and they told me they didn’t know why we were told that our insurance was not accepted because they are in-network. They said once the updated info went through, that money should be returned but it would take a month or longer. I have no idea why it would take that long, but after doing a little research I discovered this is a common issue with them (random charges showing up after the visit). The staff was friendly and the location is neat and clean, but you definitely should not store people’s card information without authorization and charge them out of nowhere. They said they tried to contact us a few times, but I don’t think a couple of phone calls justify it. They could’ve also tried sending a letter with an invoice breaking down what we were being charged for.
From start to finish, our experience was fantastic. The service was incredibly quick and everything was very clean and well-organized. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming, respectful, and genuinely friendly — it made a real difference. Amy, the PA who took care of me, was outstanding. She really listened to my concerns, answered all my questions thoroughly, and made me feel completely at ease. Overall, this is hands down the best urgent care I’ve ever been to in the Bay Area. Highly recommend!
The facility was pristine! This is my first time To the clinic. The front desk receptionist was professional. She acknowledged my attention when I walked through the door, although she was working with another client. Although,I was an hour and a half ahead of schedule. The office took me in immediately. Dr. Brian was amazing. He was professional, warm and very knowledgeable with the advised treatment offering me several options- and I felt comfortable. The appointment time did not take long, but it was very thorough, by the time I got to my car my prescription was ready for pick up. I would definitely return in the event of an emergency.
Amazing staff. I took my daughter there and was honestly the best decision. They made my daughter feel comfortable and were the sweetest to her. She’s 1 by the way so doctors isn’t really her cup of tea but for some reason she let the staff take care of her.
Horrible customer service. The receptionist Vanessa, was so so rude. I came at 11:51 for a 1145 appointment and she is telling me in a nasty way. she cannot take me in. When they clearly have a 15 minute grace period as I was told, several times. While I’m talking to her, she completely ignores me and goes ahead and speaks to the next person in line. Horrible experience. The next person in line felt bad and gave me his appointment. And she just left the desk as if I am air. After 15 minutes of waiting someone else came out and confirmed with me that they were very busy and meant to call me to cancel but they did not have a chance. Henry booked me for 3:45 PM . There was no need for me to come and waste so much time of my day and definitely Vanessa did not need to be rude to me when the fault was on their end.
I woke up in the morning with soreness in my back. I looked at my insurance to see the nearest urgent care within my provider. I was able to schedule an appointment online within 30 minutes
