PLEASE beware before you go!!! They check everything like your license, registration and city sticker if ANYTHING is outdated or expired good luck, you have to fix that before they release your car. If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle or the title is in someone else’s name, good luck, you need to either bring that person or update the title to have your name on it, or bring a notarized letter stating that you are the owner. And remember, for each additional day you leave it there its $50 added on to the already $300 tow fee. Second, have a plan to get there, you cannot just route your GPS to 500 E lower wacker drive because you will get lost. You need to have somebody drop you off at the Riverwalks steps located at Columbus and Wacker and take the steps to the very bottom level. Once you’re down there you go right and keep walking, theres a spot in between this tiki bar and Urban kayaks that is an opening in the fence and its right there. Oh! And don’t forget they also ticket your car so when you leave you’re not done paying!!
Be warned: They are a predatory revenue trap. The city recently moved meter hours to start at 8:00 AM, but the street remains a tow zone until 9:00 AM. (Via Rush Hour) The app will happily take your money at 8:00 AM, and a tow truck will hook you at 8:01 AM. To make it worse, the signage is hundreds of feet away from the pay boxes (or on the opposite side). It's a game designed to siphon money from working people under the guise of traffic flow it's sickening and honestly sad
Today my car was taken away, and I guess that’s normal, but the staff were very rude — especially the woman. My English was not very good because I’ve only been in the U.S. for three months with a green card. She showed clear disrespect toward me because I didn’t understand the language in some moments. In the video, you can see that they towed a car that had its hazard lights on, and the driver was standing right next to it. But that didn’t help — they still took the car.
I left my car for a few minutes to pick up food and it got towed. Fine — rules are rules. But what’s NOT fine is how customers are treated here. The employee at window #4 was extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. She was speaking so quietly I could barely hear her, ignored multiple requests to repeat herself, and seemed to intentionally drag out the process. Sitting far from the window with her arms crossed, making pauses like she had all the time in the world — while I’m just trying to get my car back. What’s even more ridiculous is that she has a microphone and speaker system, which she simply chose not to use. This felt less like customer service and more like being treated with complete disregard. If you’re going to run a business where people already come in stressed and frustrated, at least hire employees who act like they care — or at the very least, respect people. Very disappointing and honestly unacceptable.
If you end up here its a 1 star day, and cost you a $350 tow plus the tickets waiting of your windshield. They are efficient and respectful, but no matter how great the city workers are, the situation is 1 star. My advice, do yourself a favor, avoid this place and never ever visit. This is a place you never want to come to, I believe it may be the first stop to hell lol.
As of 2026, Its 250$ for the tow 50$ for storage each day As soon as the car reaches this facility you will be charged $300. Plus any ticket / violations / renewals that are pending.
We took our son to the emergency and we parked in a tow zone which at that time we didn’t read the signs very well. We called and gave us all my vehicle information and gave us the information of my car, answer all of our questions nicely. I was skeptical about this location because all of these bad reviews but my husband said they treated him well, with good attitude, he couldn’t pay with his Apple Pay and the guy gave him options of what he could do or the places he can take out money. Very helpful. Overall fast process to take the car out.
Hard to find, called someone and she was insanely rude and not helpful at all. She went on about her blood pressure going up because I was being difficult. The person in the video is her by the way, it absolutely is the same voice form the phone

These rude, corrupt, unprofessional towing company people damaged my car. I really hope karma gets them bad and I will laugh if they do. My underside splash protector got ripped off and warped and when I came back to complain, one employee even tried to say they couldn't have done it because I came back minutes later. I have photo proof with time stamp of the damage! Also to help people get to this dungeon of a place, by car/taxi: easiest way is not to put this address in the gps. Rather, navigate towards Lakeshore East Park. Once on Randolph, turn north on the street that leads to the center of the park. On the other side of this rectangular park from where you came in, you'll find the turn which takes you to lower Wacker Dr. Turn right and you'll see the pound. If by walking, at the southwest corner of the Columbus Dr-Upper Wacker intersection, you'll find the stairway that brings you to lower Wacker. Walk east at the lowest level to get to the pound.
