I can't say enough good things about East Carolina Automotive Services! They are always so friendly, and it's so easy to get an appointment. They take the time to explain things to you, and they are understanding and not pushy! Always leave there with a smile on my face.
Pleasant experiences with East Carolina Automotive Services Inc.. Professional, courteous, and very price-conscious. Quick service, no upselling, and the satisfaction of my car repairs/inspections are we continue to return — highly recommend!
Brought in 2019 Crosstrek. Was diagnosed with a bad brake lamp switch. Was quoted $515 to repair. The switch alone was $230, $150 diagnostic and $81 to replace the switch not counting taxes. I called Williams Subaru was quoted $180; Redline Auto Care $175 and Railside Auto Care $179. That is total price not including tax. I tried talking to Jerry but was informed he can only make money by doubling the price of parts. Claimed his price from Napa was $112 but Redline Auto also is under NAPA and they said the part was $75. Jerry refused to work with me and I was forced to pay a total of $161 for “diagnostic”, which is interesting since Tony told me he looked it up on the internet. Bottom line is you better research any quote they give you before you agree to any work.

This is my third time coming to this auto service for an inspection, and two out of those three times I failed because they said my window tint didn’t meet their standards. I told them that I passed at other places with the same tint, and my window is visibly lighter than many cars. They insisted their equipment is correct, and they still charged me for the inspection that I failed. I strongly do not recommend this place—save your time and money and go to another station or auto service instead.
Talk about a team that goes above and beyond!! Finding a good mechanic is tough these days but look no further !!! These guys are honest, knowledgeable and beyond fair!! I will definitely be using them in the future!!

I’ve been coming here for years and they always take good care of me. Most recently, I appreciated Chris’s thorough explanation of what work they did to address my check engine light, how they resolved it, and what to be mindful of over the next few hundred miles as we ensure there are no further issues.
I was very pleased with the service. They had wifi and a nice clean waiting area. I was greeted with a smile and a joke as soon as I walked in the door. They were very proficient and thorough. The mechanic did not stop working on my vehicle until the job was done 100% right. The owner made sure I knew what was going on as they accomplished each task while I waited. I was very pleased. Very nice staff and place. Would recommend to anyone. Even though the guy spent a couple hours on my car (not his doing , the alignment was messed up) but the price was surprisingly very reasonable !
