Easy submission, prompt delivery. I would do it again.
Great resources to help everyone save energy and save money! Such great wisdom that is also common sense!
Free Nest thermostats! Perfect!!
I wanted to add attic insulation this past Winter while the work environment up there during the day wasn't too hot. I saw that Energy Trust enabled DIY insulation with rebates available if you follow their prescribed process. I then started that process by scheduling a phone call and was happy to have done that. Received a great bit of personal guidance on my project and a link to a PDF download that covered some details of best practices. This is a great program.
Thank you Jose Soto and Anthony Nervez for your help with the process of upgrading our lights. We thank you so much
Fast information and help on processing paperwork
Energy trust is amazing! They walked me through everything I needed to do to get a refund, and since we started the process before the program is over, I was still able to get my refund, which was very helpful!
Their responses of past months seemed to compose fraud. Here are facts: 1. My service provider sent me a rebate form, I signed and mailed to energy trust in Oct; 2. Never received any response so I followed up by emailing them in Jan, they replied by saying never received anything; 3. We refiled in Feb, tracked the mail this time, so they had to say it was received after us following up twice; 4. In March, they said BOTH of my requests were received. a check was sent to me in Dec - which means they dont have to send any rebate now ?!? 5. I asked if that "never came out" check was ever cashed. no reply so far. 6. Update - In April, I was told a new check was sent out twice but never received. I requested to speak to a supervisor, which seemed to work. They finally sent a check and supervisor called me. Conclusion: I do not know why we need to keep this department. False expectations and waste time. What's the point? Yes, we created some jobs.
Great people performing supremely important work. They made it easy for us to install solar on our home to save money and reduce our carbon footprint. Great website. They will guide you through numerous ways to save. Be patient. They are extremely busy, but brilliant.
Did you know that if you are a Portland General Electric or Pacific Power customer you are charged a fee that is contributed to the Energy Trust of Oregon. Funds from the trust go towards energy saving projects and home owners can receive rebates on projects they do such as solar panels or heat pumps. HOWEVER, not every type of project will qualify. My Air conditioner went out, and I am looking at putting a high efficiency heat pump in so I can save on heating and cooling over the long run. But the type of installation I have to do doesn't qualify for a rebate simply because my furnace is gas instead of electric. So in other words, I'm paying into this fund that I can't access when needed. PGE & ETO, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
