So what made my heart smile was the coffee bar and baristas in the lobby. They are phenomenal humans down there. Savannah, Amy, and Quinn are rockstars literally. I’m a resident due to my home being remodeled, but who would’ve known daily matcha visits would be the highlight of my day. Thanks FS
Stayed here for a week in April while in Houston for work. Let me just say: NEVER AGAIN. As someone who has worked in the luxury hospitality industry I was extremely appalled at the service of this Four Seasons. Not at all in line with the brand and I wish I could request a refund. I was definitely paying a premium for the name for a property that is at best 3-stars. I left out for work around 9am everyday and for 3 consecutive days I returned back to my room at 4pm to my room not to be cleaned for the day. This is a basic service? The rooms were recently renovated and they are OK. The building is really old so I know some things are out of their control, but the first thing I noticed when entering my room the first time was the smell of Mold/Mildew. You know the hotel smell that's usually prominent at beach resorts? That smell. All of this to say--please do not waste your money here and stay somewhere else.
Our visit to Four Seasons Houston was absolutely fantastic. We were there visiting our 50th state and the hotel staff had the room decorated with balloons and a special treat for our teens. It was incredibly thoughtful and really made our family celebration all the more special. The rooms were immaculate and wonderfully comfortable. The fitness facilities were well-equipped and clean. The pool area was fabulous, the concierge was genuinely helpful, valet was prompt, and the entire property feels like it’s well cared for and managed. For an older building, they’re doing an excellent job keeping the property clean and updated. We’ve visited all 50 states and many Four Seasons properties and this one is a standout for its excellent service. Absolutely recommend!
Thank you for making our wedding night truly special and unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every detail was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The room was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to Sandra Bridi for her wonderful hospitality—she went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed a fantastic night.
I normally don’t write reviews like that, but this review is particularly for the baristas Amy and Savannah. I have never experienced such excellent, kind service from people that would then lead me to show up every morning to buy coffee and breakfast just because of the hospitality that I have been given lately from these two. Both of these women in particular are extremely knowledgeable in what they do and make a beautiful art with a morning coffee. I’ve been going through a hard time in life lately and the staff has been nothing but amazing. Thank you for all you do!
Beautiful hotel with excellent service and a convenient downtown location. Unfortunately, the EV charging was a major disappointment. My car charged overnight and only reached 41%, making it unreliable for guests with electric vehicles. The gym is also very small with limited equipment, especially compared to other luxury hotels. I hope these facilities will be upgraded in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The kids had a great time in the swimming pool — it was perfect since it was pretty hot outside. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We ordered room service twice (dinner and breakfast), and everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing — the food by the pool was very spicy! I get that it’s Texas and things are supposed to be “hot”, but maybe still not the hot dogs for the kids, right? 😄
Four Seasons Houston is incredible. I've stayed at 17 Four Seasons in the US and a number of them internationally. What I have learned is they are not all equal. Some have incredible service, some are in amazing locations (Lanai being a favorite location) and while none of them have ever been "bad" there are locations that clearly stand out. What makes Houston stand out is the service. Wow! It's really something special here. Our trip started with the concierge team going way above and beyond for our trip. We are here for our daughters cheer competition. I let them know ahead of time that's why we were coming. Steven Kung on the concierge team asked me a number of questions and helped to organize a very memorable arrival. Upon arrival there was a red carpet with a dozen team members cheering my daughter on with cheer poms, and banners with her name. They went out of their way to sign the banners and since I requested the room be decorated the most thoughtful decorations I have ever seen. As an example a large wooden sign that said "Go Ellie" that the team had taken the time to write personal notes of encouragement on. My daughter was PUMPED upon arriving! It doesn't stop there. Every request is met with enthusiasm, support and outstanding service. The room service staff is so friendly and helpful as well. We are in the Ambassador suite and the room is very nice. Spotless, great views, good layout, and all the amenities you would want. Every team member I encountered has been great. This sort of experience doesn't happen randomly. It comes from an entire team that truly cares about their guests. It starts with management setting the stage and doing as they want their team to do leading by example. Four seasons corporate if you are reading this take note of how this hotel is being run. I became a Four seasons residential owner because I love the brand. I've seen it all both at Four Seasons and your competing brands (Auberge, Aman, Mandarin, etc) and Four Seasons Houston is one of the best examples of what the Four Seasons brand embodies and thrives to be. Four Seasons Houston is at the top of my list!
JUST WOW! Staff were incredible. Best ACTUAL GYM I've ever seen in a hotel. Shower stayed hot. The housekeepers were too good 👍.
Rooms need updating. I’ve stayed at several Four Seasons and this is the most outdated of all. Amenities in bathroom are lacking. Hairdryer was missing back filter so my hair got sucked into the back. Casting feature on the TV didn’t work. But most importantly, there was so much noise at night I couldn’t sleep. This was on a Monday and Tuesday so I can only imagine what it’s like on the weekends. Cars sounded like they were racing, I could hear the elevator banks like they were next door and I wasn’t close to the elevator, and there is a bar (I can’t tell if it is the hotel bar or a bar down the street) that is blasting music at 11:30 pm. It’s now midnight and every few minutes there’s someone on a loudspeaker yelling outside. They should warn their guests so they can decide whether they want to upgrade to an area that is less noisy (which the guest shouldn’t have to pay for) or reduce the rate of the rooms that face the noisy side. I NEVER write reviews so the fact that I’m writing this is a huge sign that this hotel has a lot of work to do. The only reason I’m giving my stay 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff is amazing.
