I honestly wasn’t planning to get travel insurance, but my Europe trip was pretty expensive and my credit card coverage had too many restrictions. I came across a detailed YouTube video and ended up reaching out to G1G. Their customer service was amazing, they took the time to explain everything and made sure I really understood the policy before I bought. I’m so glad I went with them. I had a major flight delay and then a medical issue after falling off my bike in Paris. Nothing too serious, just a deep cut that needed to get looked at. I called G1G’s 24/7 emergency number and they talked me through exactly what to do. For the delay, I actually called G1G again to ask for help, and they told me to save all my receipts so I could get reimbursed for food and lounge expenses during the wait at the airport. That was super helpful. Filing the claims was also super easy. I just took pictures and submitted everything online. I got reimbursed for both the meals and the medical care. Totally great company. Highly recommend G1G to anyone traveling.

I have purchased travel insurance from GIG last year October when I traveled to Australia. Unexpectedly I got sick and rushed for emergency medical treatment in Melbourne hospital. When I returned back home I claimed my medical expenses and it was approved very courtesy manner. I recommend GIG for best travel insurance.

I am very grateful for my experience with G1G. I first learned about them from planning for group travel and found it easy to communicate with agents both while abroad and at home over the course of several trips. As some reviews mentioned it is important for you to have recent health records for verification of pre-existing, emergency, etc. Every call is followed up by an email and staff were reachable. Most recently I had to file my first claim due to cancellation of a trip from illness. Sarah was very thorough and a proactive communicator during the time that my claim was under review. I will probably be switching to a subscription based plan instead of a trip by trip plan for simplicity.

Before a friend referred me to G1G for our travel insurance, I was pretty clueless about who to call, how to compare agencies, underwriters, policies and had endless questions about where to begin. It was very overwhelming. We knew as seniors with preexisting conditions that we wanted to at least have medical coverage for our month long trip to Europe. G1G was the perfect place to start. Since we respected our friend’s recommendation so highly, I stepped away from the three or four other travel insurance websites and went straight to the G1G website. He walked me through the selection and sign up process and in just a few minutes, we were good to go. Literally. Thankfully we didn’t need the medical but loved the upgraded plan that gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Same for the luggage coverage. No worries there. What we did end up needing was just one of the line items included in the coverage. One that I’d given no thought to on the trip. We had a very expensive trip interruption that caught us completely by surprise! Enter Sarah! I contacted G1G and Sarah heard my story and went right to work on my behalf. She helped me by explaining what documentation I was going to need for the greatest success. Sarah walked me through the entire claim process and communicated clearly and kept me informed all along the way. Our claim was approved after a rather lengthy holiday log jam of claims slowed the process. I expect the transfer of funds to be made soon. Sarah was also able to help me to insure my next trip well in time for the cancellation coverage to be included this time. G1G has a great web portal with pretty clear information and options for upgrades and plan comparisons. Adam called me and helped again with some questions I had. Once I’d made my first transaction for the trip Sarah walked me through more questions that arose. I have a great plan for my next trip. Using their web portal, I can track my travel costs for final payment before we leave. We are very satisfied with G1G insurance and the terrific customer service we received. In December 2025, I purchased travel insurance through G1G. Unfortunately, my daughter got sick while we were traveling. When we got back I contacted G1G about filing a claim. I had the pleasure of speaking with Sarah. She was able to help me through the process. i found her to be kind, patient, thorough, and most importantly, effective. I received my reimbursement as anticipated. This was the second time I purchased travel insurance through G1G and I highly recommend them.

G1G has helped me evaluate and purchase travel insurance for several trips and I have always felt benefitted by the information they provide. I haven’t had to file a claim until recently and I have been very impressed by how much support they provide to help their clients receive reimbursement from the insurer. She gave me a list of exactly which documents were needed to file the claim and she did all the work when it came to doing the filing and interacting with the insurance company. I had to cancel my international travel due to a sudden illness which struck my wife, my fellow traveller, on the day of departure.
