Different from any goodwill by the pound I have ever been in. Large and chaotic, as they all are, they separate the items between 2 rooms, one with "stuff". Bin-table after bin-table of shoes, toys, electrical things and small household. And the first room of clothes, most of which is pretty standard. Be sure and come prepared, a lot of people use gloves and masks to keep from having to touch and breath some pretty gross things. Be sure and avoid stuffed toys, underwear, scratched pots & pans, and hats. They can all carry things you don't want to bring home. They accept cash & cards. Close at 6pm. Standard fee is $1.49 per pound. Prepare to launder and properly clean all items.
Worst goodwill I've ever been to and everything felt nasty and the bathrooms were disgusting
Absolutely dirty! Just because it's a thrifting donation store does Not mean it needs to be dirty. It could totally be cleaner. This was our 1st time for a outlet and we got gipped. I could had put everything in a bag and paid $5 total for 8lbs but instead the lady had me weigh 2 separate times which caused me to pay $1.59 a lb. Yes its still cheap but I could have paid only $5 instead of $13 the stuff we got wasn't worth $1.59 a lb. My son really enjoyed digging through the bends. We all wore gloves bc it was just nasty and the smell was horrible. I talked to another couple there which this was there 2nd time at this particular location they said this was by far the most disgusting store. There are others that are much cleaner and they take more pride in the store. So with that being said we won't write off this outlet experience just yet. We'll try a much cleaner one in the future.
This place sucks The staff sucks Don’t care you are in line 2 hours The place dirty nasty The place stinks It never was like this back in the day Now it’s just disgusting!!
We're not from the area so only get to come to the Goodwill outlet "bins" about 4 times a year. We always find awesome things we've been needing or wanting (but can't justify buying at retail prices) for a steal ($1.59/lb or $5 for items weighing over 7lbs). It's also a great place for finding inventory for resellers which is what most shoppers here are doing. I would give it 5 stars easy except the workers can really make the experience frustrating. We usually come 2 hours before closing to avoid the morning madness but starting at 5:00 (an hour before closing) the employees are pushing people to the checkout. They literally make you stop looking at 5:30 and be in line for the register. I get it, they want everyone out right at 6 so they can go home but they are downright rude about it - especially when most people are spending a considerable amount of money. This has happened to us the last 3 visits and this past time I was super upset when after spending $120, the 2 cashiers gave us a hard time for asking for 5 bags for our 2 cartfuls of stuff. They actually told us "we keep running low so that's why we keep them behind the counter from now on." Umm you are a retail store that is literally making thousands of dollars a day with minimal overhead since all your merchandise is free - you can afford to give your paying customers as many bags as they need!
This place has ruined other thrift stores for me. I love paying by the pound! I have found so many great things here. Some people shop here to resell, some shop for themselves, and others shop for their families in other countries. When the new bins come out and the people are given the go ahead, people start going crazy. This place is definitely an adventure every time. The only down side I have seen was broken glass and bugs in the bins. Some stuff really belongs in the trash, but I would say 90% of it is all perfectly good condition stuff.
I'm deaf with new cochlear implant in left side. I not happy with workers because they failed to recognize that I'm deaf. I cant understand them because noise. I told them that I deaf many times and told them I can't hear you. They kick me out of the side of bin near to new bin. Also I'm new to bin and I don't know what the rule is. They acted like discrimination against deaf. Also Poorly understand ASL.
A treasure hunter's dream if you're willing to dig it up. My wife loves thrift shopping and we're borderline thrift store experts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but nothing has ever prepared us for this location. Now please don't take this the wrong way, we love Goodwill and their mission, but this outlet center is basically one step above dumpster diving. So if you have a problem with mystery-stained clothing, dirty bins, people who shop aggressively, and lots of stuff that's either incomplete or broken then I wouldn't recommend this place to you. But, if you can get past those things I just mentioned and a pile of garbage looks like a potential gold mine to you then you'll absolutely love it here. After saying all that, I do have to mention that there is some interesting stuff going on in there that raises a couple questions for us (since this was our first visit to this location). First, there seems to be a bunch of people with carts just hanging out next to a fenced off area by the opening to the back area (where bins come out from). We think they're waiting to pounce on a new bin going to the floor, but we never saw one come out so we don't know. All we know is that they seemed fairly knowledgeable about something... Another thing we found interesting was people working as teams digging through piles of clothing. Some were wearing gloves and seemed to be collecting way more clothing than a large family would possibly ever need. It was almost like they were gathering inventory for their business or maybe even a church program? Anyhow, this store is busting out of the seams with inexpensive possibilities which is probably the biggest appeal for most people who shop there so I totally get why it can get as busy as others have stated. And, it's such an interesting experience that if you've never been there before I think it's at least worth one visit. Besides, you just never know what you'll find there.
I absolutely love this place! It's so therapeutic to dig through and find gold. There is something for everyone here! It's very well priced and it needs to stay that way for sure! Please give this place constant business! I want this place to stay around forever! And owner I know you will read this. Is this independently owned or does goodwill itself own it? Thank you all and please again keep going to this goodwill!
It's not like most thrift stores, your items are weighed all together and you are charged (like a to-go box!) Anything over 7lbs, will be $5! I found so many home decoration things that were still in good condition, and some that could easily be washed. Just get there early, like before noon. After around noon it gets packed! They even have snacks and drinks :) Awesome place, and my new favorite thrift store. AND, its right down the street from a flea market!
