I went without exceptions and found a few really cool items. Definitely a cool experience digging through the items, it makes it feel like an actual treasure when you find something you like. Only downside is overly aggressive thrifters, shoutout to the lady that decked me with her cart lol
Went there several times over the last few years Last week one employee kept yelling at people including me Another customer brought it to his attention that a car was left unoccupied and running for over 2 hours and instead of walking away to attend that emergency he continued to yell at customers who were digging through bins The other employees had manners but didn't speak a word which is a thousand times better than yelling Several months ago an employee possibly the same one was yelling again at customers and pushed my cart out of the isle causing several items to fall off and break I will only go back because of the good deals and finding vintage and antique items in the bins I am mostly deaf and but can hear when someone is speaking but just can't understand what is being said I am also jewish and wear a kippah when they did this both visits All I want is for what happened to me not to happen to anyone else Thanks
I have never been to this location. However, by reading the reviews that some people have shared, I think they should shut this place down...PERIOD!!!
I go here multiple times a month. People come for different reasons. Some are people with family in other countries who want to get a bunch of clothes and shoes cheap to send back to their country to their families. Some people are there to get the good stuff and sell it locally or online. Some people are there shopping for themselves and just looking for a good deal. There's enough for everyone and the hunt is so fun. The donations are either pulled right off of the floor at Goodwill because they didn't sell or donations that have never been sorted at all so yeah it can get a bit gross because some people really do donate dirty clothes and shoes and things that are just complete trash so if you're sensitive then I recommend wearing gloves but for the most part it's fine. The employees are nice as long as you follow the rules. A lot of things I hear them say to customers would get them fired in any other retail job but alas this is the Goodwill Outlet, not Nordstrom. The expectation of professionalism should be the same but it's not. They're not your typical retail employees so don't expect them to welcome you, ask if you need help, or even really smile at you. Follow the rules to stay off their radar. Break the rules and they will not hesitate to yell at you in front of everyone. I see staff lay into people for breaking the rules literally every time I come here. This isn't your typical store so walk in with that in mind. Don't put your hands in the new bins they bring out until the staff says you can. Don't sit on the bins. Don't leave your children unattended or let them run around. Don't block the bathrooms, water fountain, employee break room, or emergency exits with your body or your cart. One cart per person.
By far the worst goodwill I have ever been in. They just dump things into giant bins. No organization what do ever. They charge by the pound. They tried ti tell me a stuff animal weighs 10lbs and tried to charge me 7 bucks for it.... Your scale is off a bit. Secondly the cashiers were rude and too busy talking to each other and couldnt be bothered with my questions. Honestly the ones in mansfield and crowley are much better. Dont waste your time
It has gotten so bad it’s not worth shopping at anymore. I had a woman hit me repeatedly and when I told her to back off, I was told to leave and yet she was allowed to stay. Wear gloves because of syringes, broken glass, and fecal covered bedpans. Don’t leave any baskets off to the side even if other customers tell you too. You are not obligated to do so because stuff WILL be taken from them. Also beware of stray kids, somebodys kid came and tried to crawl into my basket. Employees don’t really do anything and it’s gotten hazardous and out of control.
Great place to "dig for treasure". Found many of really great items here and for 1.49 per lb that's not bad at all! A lot of my friends are not so thrilled untill they find that first item that the need or have a use for then they are inlove. Great for DIY stuff. It says they close at 6 but they make you checkout 30minutes beofre so they leave at 6 so is a little upsetting. Also bring your own gloves. This stuff is used and is for your safety
This is my favorite place to go. Its not for every one. Everything is piled in bins that you have to dig thru. This is nothing like the retail stores. If you like a good hunt and don't mind working for it, this is a gold mine! Everything is sold by the lb. Items over 8 lbs are $5. Everything else $1.49/lb. Great fun!
They help so many people. All kinds. Doesn't matter what you look like or what you wear... Or where your cone from. They will help anyone the best they can. They give people a second chance at trying to make their life better without judging you. I absolutely love my co workers and my boss! She is the best person I know with the biggest heart. The store itself is the outlet store.. Sold by the pound. But Its so much more then that.
Wow, what an experience. 1st time to the "BINS". Very different from the YouTube videos that I saw before going. 1st off the place is pretty big, 2nd there is a lot of bins, 3rd there's a lot of stuff. So you got to go in there with an idea of what kind of stuff you're looking for.- don't be like me and have 4 or 5 different things that you're looking for you'll come out of there with a Grinch Stole Christmas size sleigh full of stuff. The best thing is it doesn't cost that much. You pay by weight not but item.
