Always kind and efficient every time I've come through the drop-off. Store is very organized compared to others I've been to. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making my experience a positive one!
I used to like shopping here. Sadly many of the customers are rude and behave badly. I can put up with that. But when I am standing in a long line as I was today and someone cuts ahead with the encouragement of staff, that p.o.'s me. I'm not one to make anything of the fact I have 4 herniated discs. They hurt all the time. I have to live with the most horrible kind of pain. Standing much less walking can be a chore when your leg is numb and your foot hurts in the worst way. So to stand for a long time in line is tough. I was patiently waiting. A new register opened. A woman at the back of the line cuts ahead to the newly opened register. It made me angry, but I was not going to lose it. Others even said I should be next in line at opened register. The woman was mad at that suggestion. She started to back up but two employees, one a woman and the male cashier told her no, that she should go ahead. Well I'm sorry but I lost my temper and cursed the customer out. I also told the employees that I will never shop in that store again. I walked out very, very, angry. Fifteen years I've shopped at this Goodwill since arriving in San Antonio. Never again. PMC Fox.
Inconsistent with their prices . Employee stated we were being “arbitrary” for asking a simple price question.
I love Goodwill and usually on Sundays I try to visit as many as I can with my family. But this one that I work not that far from. The people are very rude and not helpful. And they could sort the stuff out a lot better like I've seen at other Goodwills. But you will find some good deals in here. They could definitely install some sprayers to make it smell better. But other than that it is an OK place. I have been going here for a long time and will continue to go here regardless of the attitudes of people that work there.
First time at a Goodwill Clearance Center and all I can say is Wow! It's definitely a different experience, with all the frantic digging through piles of anything and everything (wear gloves!) but there's plenty enough good stuff to go around. I got there at 8 am and by 9 am there were at least 40 people there. And somehow, every person (including me) had a shopping cart FULL of items to buy. In the end, I spent a whopping 15 bucks and left with what I would say is easily $150-$200 worth of stuff. Can't wait to do it again, honestly!
Staff ia always very friendly. Facility is clean on the outside. The are usually homeless folks hanging out on the outside of the building but they are harmless. I find great deals on office supplies each time I visit .
Used to love shopping here as retired on a tight budget, but seems like with the Covid and even though Goodwill was donated million of dollars, instead of prices going down they have skyrocketed, not beneficial to us poor people to buy secondhand if prices this high. I have been buying new at clearance prices for same price at alot of stores at the end of season, so stocking up Is a better idea. Used to be Goodwill was the only store I shopped at till my sisters called me and told me about sales they found at retail stores for same prices I was paying for Used. Very rarely shop at Goodwill now, but never for clothes anymore.
I went to donate a whole lot of stuff I was giving away and the young guy taking my stuff took the other young guy that was helping him to the back to tell him something about my stuff which was very unprofessional, then came back. I asked him what's wrong with the stuff I'm donating, he told me it has pet hair on the stuff which makes it hard to sell... He made it seem like they don't even wash anything. I told him so that means I should've taken it somewhere else, he hesitated then said no it was ok. They took everything.I have been donating stuff here only for years. I even traveled 30 minutes to get there. It made me not wanna come back
I was impressed with the organization and cleanliness of this store. The security officer in the store is conscientious, professional and courteous. His name is James. The employees are also helpful and professional. Very good qualities that make a business successful!
