I have been on this tonic espresso fix during this hot summer and stumbled upon this place on our way home to NY while still in Philly. The grapefruit sage tonic espresso was a refreshing and tasty drink in the summer heat. I could not put the drink down as I was sipping on it every few minutes. My wife has the lavender lemonade spritz mocktail and she kept raving about how delicious it was and was mind blown that it didn't have any alcohol in it. The servers and baristas are super friendly with nothing but fresh and cool vibes inside. On my next trip back to Philly, we will be returning here for sure.

A Charming Philly Find! This quaint cafe and market was the perfect way to start my Philadelphia adventure. The pistachio seasonal coffee with oat milk was a delicious treat, and the affordable prices were a pleasant surprise. The shop's dual entrances and outdoor seating offer a cozy atmosphere, though it can get a bit crowded. Inside, you'll find a tempting array of specialty food items. The coffee was worth the short wait, and the free street parking is a major plus. If you're in the area, this charming cafe is definitely worth a visit.

Great new cafe in South philly, house roasted coffee and great tea selection... Cool neighborhood spot... if your reading these new bad reviews, they are clearly from the same person setting up fake accounts... a local business owner who is extremely jealous of the success Herman's has earned, and resorts to bully tactics. All this will come back on you. just stop it so we can be a neighborhood. As it is now, you are losing local customers daily, your free coffee and pastry offers arent enough for anyone with half a brain. Thank you Herman's for improving this neighborhood.

I got a morning bun and cold brew from Herman’s. The coffee did not disappoint! Morning bun was flaky and covered in sugar—quite good. Service was fast and ambiance was a little offbeat in a good way!

I went today to grab a coffee. I walked in and didn’t get a hello, smile, nod, or even acknowledgment that I was there to buy something. I came to the reviews to see if it was an anomaly, and based on other reviews, it is not. I don’t need 5-star service, but it would be nice to at least be acknowledged. I mean are the workers aware they are in the service industry? Coffee was good otherwise and I actually think it’s a cool space. Maybe it’s the dreary weather???

They say greatness is not just the ability to be at your best but more importantly the ability to attract greatness and curate a symphony which ultimately allows you to shine brighter than you ever could on your own. Ok…I am “they” and I just made that up. But it describes Herman’s in a nutshell my but also in my dialect. Listen… This place is the Dr. Dre of cafe production. The coffee leads and dominates the sonic canvas with its strong deep velvety vocal vibes but man!!! You’ve got chocolates on piano…hot sauces on the horns…pastries on electric guitar…beautifully boutique beverages on bass and delightful delectable snacks on drums. With the hip staff conducting…It’s a banger. I swear my eyes change in hue after I sip the their house roast (see pic). Those donuts by Okie Dokie Donuts that are discretely tucked in the pastry case once made me pull over at the light after leaving and walk back for another. Hazard lights were a blinkin…because to me…this was an effin emergency. The Root Beer Float flavored one curled my toes and toupee. On my most recent visit to the shop it was pretty busy so I chose not to act paparazzish and snap away like applause at a spoken word event. I mean….What if I blew my cover and they realized that Real (the realest reviewer of this century) had arrived? Woulda gotten strange. Anyway I will continue to make this place my treat to myself when in town and so should you. Babies seem to like the place too so bring them. Herman’s gets a High 5 ✋. Thanks for reading along and I hope this helps someone. Please follow along on my journey as I make my way to every state and review damn near everything! -Real #coffee #cafe #vegan #real #pastries #southphilly #hermans #eagles

I'm a new convert to Herman's Coffee. Discovered them a few weeks ago on a walk back from Dickinson Park. They did a fresh grind of their Diner flavor to-go. The flavor is rich and smooth. I'm heading back to try their other varieties.

Really fun coffee spot! I like to stop here some days before visiting different clients in Pennsport. It's a really cool spot to visit on a nice day because it's a very open space that's really inviting. My iced mocha was great as always, and I'm also a fan of their espresso. I'm still waiting to come back in the evening for a drink, it will be some time soon before it gets too chilly out. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Herman’s Coffee is one of the most underrated coffee shops in the city. This is a business that definitely deserve a spot in every list of the top coffee shop in Philly. Their prices are reasonable, the atmosphere and aesthetic they’ve curated is unique and approachable, the many food trucks that they have on the weekends are always amazing. I’ve never had a bad Herman’s experience! And I doubt I ever will!

First time trying coffee from here. I ordered Iced Pistachio Rose Latte. I guess I just don’t really like the flavor of Pistachio Rose. Will try other flavor next time.
