We went to a film festival at Mission Theater down the street and are so happy we came here for dinner. Highly recommend the breakfast burger and Mac & Cheese. So good!

I chair a non-profit and we had our annual conference in Portland this year. Portland Hostel helped us out by hosting our guests, providing space for our board meeting, and providing a space for our networking event and intro classes. Not only that, but of all the hotels I contacted they were the most responsive and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them!

This is our neighborhood cafe and we love popping in here for meetings, breaks, and lunch. The coffee is great, the service is always kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice with people visiting and locals sharing space. Sometimes there is even live Celtic music gathering to enjoy! We definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a chill, community hub to enjoy a cup of joe.

I love this cafe and make a point to eat here when I stay in Portland. The dishes are creative and food is delicious. Excellent coffee, too. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, plus gluten-free bread. They prioritize local food and drinks. I've always had good service. A real gem in this district.

Love the Hostel Cafe as a local — a great option that's open later when you don't want to go to a bar.

I have been here several times over the years, it's a simple local spot. I enjoy their burgers, hand-cut fries, and classic breakfasts. They have good gluten free buns and other gf options as well. Sometimes it can be hit or miss but it has been good recently. The prices are a bit high but I think everything is organic. I did not like their coffee in the past but have not tried it in some time.

Stopped in for a late afternoon lunch, and ordered a burger in a lettuce wrap and the garlic fries, and it was pretty good. The sauce on the burger was like a Russian or Thousand Island Dressing, so no need for ketchup. The fries could have been cooked a smidge longer for my taste, as I like it when they're crispy on the outside. The environment has lots of natural light, which feels spacious and airy and the music wasn't too loud. They have something called a Chaga Latte on the coffee menu, which I found intriguing. It's rare to find a latte drink that is sweetened with monk fruit and has immune-boosting properties. I will return earlier in the day to try that.

As soon as I walked in the door, I could smell that the food was off good quality and taste. They use real beef or Angus, they cut real potatoes and use real Sea Salt the good was everything that I expected it to be The bread was toasted and buttery. They use local condiments and produce from Oregon instead of national brand like Heinz. If you like good food, I'd definitely recommend. Everything was cooked to perfection with a beautiful presentation and again QUALITY INGREDIENTS.
