A pair of my shoes were stolen from the room. Called the front desk the day after checking out after not initially noticing, and the front desks response was essentially, "Yeah, sorry about that," with no apparent effort to investigate or resolve the issue. The location is convenient, but I would recommend staying at the JW Marriott across the street instead. The service is significantly better.
We had the most amazing experience at the Willard Hotel. Not only is it located in a prime area with beautiful rooms and great views, but it also has the most charming café right next door with second oldest bar in the DC. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. Ali was wonderful—he took the time to share the rich history of the hotel, checked in with us throughout our stay, and offered thoughtful personal recommendations. His genuine warmth and the friendliness of the entire staff made our experience truly unforgettable. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting D.C.!
Everything about this hotel was STUNNING. So often I’m disappointed at higher end hotels or restaurants but that was not the case here. Absolutely beautiful rooms, extremely clean, impeccable service, and the decor and design was timeless and elegant. Staying here felt like a dream.
I adore visiting the Willard at Christmas time, but this year things felt woefully understaffed. If they’re going to mandate valet parking then they need to hire more staff to run it effectively! It is absolute chaos with extremely long waits for parking, there line impacts traffic patterns for several blocks, car pick up takes ages & forget it if you are wanting a festive drink in a timely manner. I wound up leaving the bar line & just getting a drink elsewhere, so they’re definitely losing $$, in addition to negatively impacting guest experience. The staff they have is doing the best they can, but there’s just not enough of them to handle the (constant, expected) crowds during the holiday season. The bellman podium (which is somehow the only place to get water as the bar is somehow not stocked?) was also unattended & could use more staffing. Please, hire more valets & set up another bar for patrons during Christmas!
We enjoyed the Easter Brunch buffet. There were many stations of different food to choose. There were breakfast items and a made to order egg station, soups, salad, cuts of meat and salmon, sushi, dessert, cold bar of seafood, kid friendly selections, charcuterie, breads, and bar service. There was a petting zoo across the hall for customers to enjoy - hand sanitizer provided and it was located near the restrooms for people to wash their hands. The staff was awesome. Parrick and Valerie were very attentive and friendly. We did not feel ignored.
We attended the Easter Brunch at the Willard, and it was absolutely mind-blowingly amazing. Calling it a buffet almost feels unfair — it was more like a beautifully orchestrated food symphony. The spread looked and felt a mile long, with so many delicious choices that I honestly wished I had the whole day, maybe even the whole weekend, to fully appreciate my new foodie happy place. Every table and station seemed to have something else that made you say, “Wait... they have that too?” The staff was wonderful from the hostess podium all the way to our table. James and Valeria (forgive me if I misspelled the names) were outstanding and kept us happy with full glasses of mimosas, water, and coffee — probably in that exact order, although after a while, who’s really keeping score? They were so friendly and attentive that by the end of brunch, it almost felt like we were leaving family... just much fuller and moving a little slower. And as if the endless amazing food wasn’t enough, there was even a mini petting zoo for the kids — inside the hotel. Goats, turtles, baby chicks... the whole thing somehow managed to be elegant, festive, and family-friendly all at once. One of the most unexpected and wonderful touches was the harp player. The music was absolutely beautiful, and it genuinely caught us off guard in the best way when we realized she was playing current hits on a harp. It added this perfect mix of classy, relaxing, and surprisingly fun to the whole experience. We’ve stayed at the Willard before and had a great experience, and we’ve also enjoyed the wonderful breakfast, but this Easter Brunch was on another level. We have officially put annual Easter Brunch at the Willard on our calendar and already look forward to our next stay.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic and puts you right in the middle of everything, making it easy to explore the city. The building itself is beautiful with a classic, elegant feel, and the lobby is especially impressive. Rooms were comfortable, service was solid, and everything felt well maintained. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.
I visited a friend at the Willard for brunch, and it was an amazing and enjoyable experience. They had a complete brunch setup, but we decided to explore their restaurant, Cafe du Parc. They had a variety of mimosas and delicious onion soup that was incredibly comforting. We also got to see the Eastern Bunny, which added a touch of magic to the evening and brought smiles to the faces of the children. It was one of the best weekends I’ve had in my life with my dearest friend. Our waitress, Brinda, was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning to the Willard, and this time, I’ll be the one staying there.
Husband and I are on the road again. This time, we took a Lyft to The Willard and enjoyed a two-night, three-day stay. From the moment we arrived, everything was just lovely. Our room was spacious, clean, and welcoming, with a bed so comfortable we didn’t want to get out of it! The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. We grabbed a quick lunch at the hotel's restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The hamburger and fries were cooked just right, and the shrimp salad was fresh and flavorful. One thoughtful touch that really stood out was being able to leave our luggage safely at the hotel after checkout while we wrapped up our final meeting. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll gladly repeat it. Highly recommend The Willard for a relaxing, hassle-free stay.
First time trip to DC with my wife and two teenagers. We stayed four nights. The service at the bar was excellent, as was housekeeping. My daughters enjoyed Afternoon tea, and the location of the hotel can't be beat. Our room felt spacious and comfortable for the four of us. Housekeeping was on point. The only miss we had was at breakfast. So many other great aspects of the hotel, and the historic nature of it has been well preserved. We would be back if we find ourselves in DC again.
