Ali and the entire Willard team made our stay truly spectacular. Our family booked three rooms, two double queens and a suite, for our wedding. I, the bride, called beforehand to get the reservations link, and that’s when I started chatting with Ali. Upon arrival, he surprised us with an upgrade to the Frederick Douglas Suite! Upon entering our suite, we saw a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries thoughtfully gifted to us. The concierge arranged transportation for the wedding, housekeeping was excellent, and the room service was incredible! I can’t wait to be back!
Simply the best! The Willard Intercontinental is the finest hotel in a Washington. The hotel is classically beautiful and the service is outstanding. I was there to celebrate my birthday and Ali, Sojung, Nara, and Richard went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Ali is a standout in the hospitality industry his level of kindness and knowledge of the area is unmatched. I had a beautiful suite and was sent several delicious treats to help me celebrate. The Willard Intercontinental is a one of a kind, and I can’t wait to return. Exquisite!
For our anniversary trip to DC, We chose to stay at InterContinental the Willard Washington D.C. and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Perfectly located just a short, easy walk to the National Mall, it made exploring Washington’s iconic monuments and museums incredibly convenient. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and truly five-star. We had the pleasure of being checked in by Ali, the guest relations, quality manager. He was extremely courteous and professional, and to our delight, sent a little something special for our anniversary to our room. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and memorable. The hotel itself is stunning—elegant & beautifully maintained—with spacious rooms and luxurious touches throughout. What really sets this property apart is the combination of its prime location and impeccable hospitality. After a full day of sightseeing, it was the perfect retreat to relax and unwind in comfort. If you’re looking for the perfect hotel in Washington, DC within walking distance to the National Mall, this is an outstanding choice. Highly recommend for anyone wanting both convenience and an elevated experience.
I’m writing this review as I sit in my room, watching my food get cold, all while waiting on condiments to be delivered for my breakfast I ordered as in room dining. To not include syrup for breakfast pancakes is a crime in itself and honestly the final straw I’ve had with my one night stay at The Willard on Christmas Eve. Check-in was subpar. The gentlemen checking me in was not welcoming and almost looked as if he was dreading providing me service. He made no mention of dining hours and when I arrived at my room at 11PM, I was sadly informed I had missed dinner by 5 minutes. The “upgraded room” I received was on a low floor, had a poorly stocked mini fridge and a view of the hotel I should have spent my Christmas Eve with. That brings us to breakfast. Finally I am able to partake in a proper meal. I order the American breakfast with pancakes which came in a timely fashion and looked delicious. After positioning myself to eat a hearty meal, it dawns on me; there is not a single condiment in sight. Not a single salt, pepper, butter or syrup packet available for the $80 breakfast I just received. Of course I call to have this rectified which was promptly acknowledged as an issue, but now here we are, 45 minutes later and still no condiments. You would think the amount that you pay for The Willard would equate quality service, however I think I am more disappointed that I spent my time here. Most importantly my Christmas Eve. I will be sure never to make that mistake again.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of many of Washington’s most famous landmarks. The staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail , I specify Mr.Ali T.. The beautiful lobby, luxurious rooms, and classic atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Washington, D.C.

The chefs are equally impressive, crafting dishes that are both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The executive team sets the tone for excellence, and it shows in every detail throughout the hotel. And there’s something unmistakably magical about the Willard during any season—the hallways feel joyous and full of life, making every visit feel special. A timeless hotel with world-class service. The Willard never disappoints.
Pinnacle of excellence. From the moment we entered the hotel everything was perfect. Front Desk checkin was quick, and over the weekend we would need them for certain things and they were happy to assist. Cafe du Parc breakfast was exceptional. Round Robin Bar was fun thanks to the bartenders, they were very friendly and attentive. The picture of the Washington Monument was from room 806. Will be back.

Just a couple of blocks from the White House, this is a great hotel to stay at for easy access to the Mall and museums. The original hotel was a favorite of Ulysses S. Grant, starting with his appointment to Lieutenant General of the Army in 1864 and continuing into his presidency.
Everything about this place was amazing. Great people, rooms, and service. We were in the Junior Suite and it was great.
