I never leave reviews, but I had to do it for this place. One word: WOW! If you are in Philly, you have to come here! We order the lobster roll and the crab roll with the lobster bisque and lobster Mac & Cheese! DELICIOUS
Pretty good place to eat, chunks of lobsters on roll, big pieces of clams in the chowder and decent Mac&cheese. Cute place and friendly staff. Small place.
I had an issue with Uber Eats and they tried to be there for me any which way they can and offered to speak to Uber eats for me as well. Matt,The general manager was so kind to me both times I was on the phone with him and left this note with my food, adding a couple of sides to my order which was super nice and not necessary. Great great customer service.
First off I was skeptical to find a good lobster spot in Philly. Luke’s did not disappoint. I ordered the trio and lobster bisque both delicious. I’m in Philly for the week and I will be eatting here every day. For seafood connoisseurs/lovers they list what type of lobster, shrimp, and crab they are serving on a board next to the menu #genius
I’ve been coming to Luke’s for years because it’s one of those things that I just get a craving for. Unfortunately I’m writing this review only moments after finishing what was edible from my meal, with hopes to make Luke’s Lobster aware of the lack of quality control in the restaurant. I typically get a 6 or 8 oz lobster roll. Today I was famished so I went for the 8 ounce roll warmed up with a side of coleslaw. This typically takes only a few minutes to come out but the kitchen seemed like it had a few additional orders so all in all it took about 15 minutes to get my warm lobster roll. A little long in my mind but I thought nothing of it. I immediately walked from the restaurant with my food back to my car which was only about 20 yards or so away, and prepared to dig in. Somehow the roll was already extremely soggy and saturated with liquid. It also was barely toasted. The lobster was over cooked and had NO SEASONING except for Luke’s blend on top and on top of everything else there was 3 large shells in my roll. My experience this time around for this $60 meal was extremely disappointing and disheartening. As I said before I am a huge Luke’s supporter and have sent so many people to this particular restaurant and raved about the quality of the food. Please get some quality control behind the counter so that things can go back to how they were before! If I had the courage to go back inside, I would’ve totally asked for my money back.
Flavorless, overpriced mini sandwiches. The coleslaw had no taste as well. $60 for 2 people to eat sandwiches and a bowl of soup, was a bit much. BYOB if you aren't aware, but they have soda and tea in a bottle. A good lobster roll or sandwich should come from the kitchen as the chef intends it to taste. If it's the intention of the chef to serve food that requires additional flavor and condiments, they should be offered at the time of ordering. The parking situation is not ideal, after circling the surrounding streets, we parked, then walked 3 blocks. The chowder was good, it was a light creamy broth with good flavor.
I'm not sure if the sandwiches are as good as they are hyped to be. They weren't bad but I can get something similar from my neighborhood deli for much less. Mine was a bit cold. Perhaps I had a bad batch?
I was underwhelmed with the flavor of the lobster rolls at Luke’s Lobster. I tried the lobster roll flight, which was supposed to feature three different flavors of butter on each of the mini lobster rolls. I found all three to be very lacking in taste. The lobster itself was bland, though there were large chunks of it. The three varieties of butter added very little to the rolls. I didn’t even detect the mayo or lemon that was supposed to be on the rolls, and definitely no “secret seasoning.” Perhaps the secret seasoning was such a secret that it disappeared from my food. The bread was the most flavorful aspect. The lobster bisque was the best part of my meal, though it wasn’t a standout compared to other lobster bisques I’ve had. It too lacked any depth of flavor. The overall vibe of the experience is a little confusing to me: I paid over $60 for a counter-serve, fast casual meal for one person. I understand lobster is pricey, but the overall experience should match that cost. With that being said, the employees were friendly and the food was ready promptly. The restaurant also seemed very clean.
Place is good, nothing special... it is so expensive for the size of the portions. Order the Luke's trio and it was ok, however they don't have fries or a lot of sides. Average place
Dayuuuuuum that was a mighty fine lobster roll. Yes, it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. Love the offering of cape cod chips as well! Will def be back again!
