Mojo No. 4, Urban BBQ Whiskey Bar

Sunday funday why not try a new spot. I happen to find Mojo no. 4 Urban BBQ Whiskey by pure chance. I was walking by and saw a few people sitting outside on a nice little patio area outside. I decided to take the chance and see what this place had to offer. When I came in, I requested to sit at the bar since I was solo dolo. I was seated very quickly. It did take a bit of time for the server to take my drink order. She seemed a little overwhelmed working the bar solo, but she seemed to rock it. I didn’t mind the wait because I had absolutely nothing to do, and plus it gave me a chance to look at the menu. I decided on the two meat combo of chicken and smoked Turkey that came with two sides. I decided to try the mac & cheese and the sweet potato mashed potatoes. I’m going to give the food a 3 and 1/2. I think I can say I’ve had better barbecue, but I really enjoyed the environment and vibe of the restaurant. The layout of the restaurant is pretty dark and continuous which I like. The bar is extensive with choices of alcohol in particular the whisky. It was so many brand of whisky. Maybe next time I’ll give one a try. Overall, I enjoyed my time. I’ll be back to try something else.

Phenomenal!!! Good, strong, balanced drinks. Great atmosphere. Outstanding food---you'll regret it if you don't order the Burnt Ends!! Smashed sweet potatoes, and garlic cheese grits--sooo good! And mixing the sweet and chipotle BBQ sauces together?--PERFECT for the BBQ. A must go!

Good food, service and environment. Beautiful old school Florida area that is relatively preserved from modernization. Outside seating is a covered patio and a nice separation from the sidewalk (people are not walking between tables here). The smells outside this place pulled us in and it didn’t disappoint on any angle.

Uber Eats 3-meat combo meal for $30 was missing onion rings, a key part of the combo. Manager only offered to provide onion rings if I drove down to restaurant to get them. Oh and begrudgingly offered to throw in banana pudding. If I am expected to get in my car and make a round trip down there, I should be given something for my time that goes beyond simply the onion rings your restaurant incompetently forgot to put in the bag in the first place. Restaurant is always slow when we dine and servers seem overwhelmed with one guest. Server Naveah seemed like she hates her job. Not a single smile or sense of urgency. Bbq didn’t have much flavor either.

A good local bar with a relaxed vibe. The food is average, but the drinks and atmosphere make it a nice spot to hang out

the single plate is the whole hog from #4 and the double plate is the whole hog from lakewood and the food is way better save your money and go to the lakewood location

We absolutely loved this place! We honestly didn’t get past appetizers because we ordered the burnt ends (the best I’ve ever had), the pulled pork quesadilla (Why hasn’t someone thought of this sooner?), and the bbq chicken nachos. We couldn’t stop eating it all, so we took home two bowls of Brunswick stew and a turkey sandwich. Parking is not easy, so prepare yourself not to get frustrated. Otherwise, prepare yourself for a world class experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our first time here. When we entered, it was dark inside, did not look like this place was open, 2 tables and a few people scattered at the bar. We thought this was odd considering it was almost 6:00 pm on a Thursday! They have happy hour every day from 4-7 pm. Their craft cocktails are $8. We both got one. They both were filled to the top with lots of ice and hardly any booze. However, they did taste good but left us with no buzz (sad). I can’t imagine paying full menu price for these drinks and not getting somewhat buzzed. We got the wings (8 for $13) which were smoked well and were delicious. We also got the famous onion rings ($10.50) which were delicious! We got a 2 meat sampler ($20) and were disappointed with the meats and the portions. The smoked turkey had no flavor and seemed to be something you’d get presliced from a deli. The brisket also had no flavor- none at all. We got mac and cheese which was good and the collard greens which was good. The toast that was served was tasteless and had no butter. When we were getting ready to leave a new table had come in and went to order. Their waitress offered them a half size onion ring or a full size (we did not get offered that option) and they also were offered toast or cornbread (which we did not get offered). All in all, the appetizers were good but everything else fell short. Could not say itd be worth coming back a second time. Take care!

Went here with my family last night. Most of us got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and house cut fries and we all agreed it was on point. We also got a Rueben and collard greens. It’s brisket prepared Rueben style. We heard that was fantastic. Our waitress was prompt on refills and nice. There was plenty of seating, bar, booth, tables, inside and outside seating. Everything was delicious!!
